I really like the app for this thermometer and the ability to save each family members temperatures and profiles, but there were a few glitches where I often needed to restart my phone to use it, or it would read a really low temperature at first. Overall it's been a great product. It was easy to set up everything and the kids like to pop the bubbles while it's reading their temperatures, which is a nice distraction. I really was excited to try out the Kinsa thermometer. I often have a difficult time keeping my young children engaged while taking their temperature. They often move and its difficult to get an accurate reading. The Kinsa device was awesome as it allowed my little ones to play a "game" which they thought was fun and excited. It was easy to use and seemed to provide very accurate readings as I checked it vs my other thermometer. I also like the fact that you can keep track of readings and other information in order to keep better track of it. I got a chance to try this thermometer as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel

I had heard good things about this thermometer, and had wanted to check it out. I was a little hesitant on the use of the app prior, but felt it would be worth checking out. The setup to first use was less than 2 minutes! It truly was one of the easiest setups I've ever done. Download app, add name, birthday, pic an icon, and gender, and plug in. It's that simple! No logins to remember either, which I appreciate! When your child is burning up or not feeling good you do not want to have to recall sign in info. The game while waiting was kind of fun. The reason for the 4 not 5 stars is that it seemed to take longer to get a readout than some regular thermometers and the ear version too, but not forever. My son even commented on that fact, and he's 5. It's pretty simple to add other profiles for multiple kids, each able to select a different color or icon. I like how you can add symptoms, check groups local to you for outbreaks, and even a resources tab with coupons! I also thought the fact it is easy to clean and not too heavy so works for all age groups. Overall, this would make a great gift for any caregiver with a smart phone. I have 3 kids 5 years old and under. So my house is a constant circus. When I received this thermometer from the weespring panel to try out ( thank you weespring!), I was a little skeptical due to the added steps I had to do to set it up, rather than just grabbing our ear thermometer. It's really not hard to set up, it was just another task for a sleep deprived mama to do while handling a sick kid. But I am glad I did set it up because my 3 and 5 year old love this! The bubbles distract while taking their temp orally. It keeps track of symptoms and sicknesses which is cool for the forgetful moms like me. The group section seems awesome since my 5 yo is starting kindergarten in the fall, but I have yet to use this function. Also, I usually take multiple readings with an ear thermometer to get an accurate reading and with this I don't have to. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is because it is really hard to use with our 9 month old baby. Taking a baby's temperature is hard enough, but when there is a cord attached to a phone attached to the thermometer....yeah....not fun. I highly recommend this thermometer for your kids.....it's pretty cool!

Love my Kinsa! We've used it with our children (ages 7 & 9) whenever fever was in question. I like the ability to track physical symptoms and track fever cycles. I only wish we had this during the post-partum/infancy age and early toddlerhood. Would've really come in handy!

Because I watch technology changes closely, I came across the Kinsa Smart Thermometer, a new product that tracks fever, symptoms, and medications. I helped fund them through kickstarter and have had a couple of conversations with them about their future plans. Kinsa really wants to reach out to parents and any others who might be interested in their product. I believe this is a great product for families, especially ones with small children.

One of the best features of the Kinsa Smart Stick Digital Thermometer is that it uses your phone for power, as opposed to batteries. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve reached for our temporal thermometer in the middle of the night to discover that the batteries were either low or dead. The Kinsa can give varying temperature reads but I’ve found that the consistency of other thermometers is about the same – invariably you’ll get a read that is a degree off from the previous one. It seems par for the course when dealing with squirmy kids. Multiple family profiles, temperature logs, and ease of use are all positives in my book. You can also use this thermometer via underarm, rectally or orally – personally I think it’s easier to go the temporal (forehead) route, but for the price this is a great value. The set up, and use of the thermometer is super easy. I have two kids who are sick a lot, so I love that the thermometer keeps the data of their fevers and sicknesses. Three years ago I had to track my sons frequent fevers and this device would have helped me so much...I would have had the data right at my fingertips! So happy that I have this now.

I have been dying to try this thermometer for my kids so a big thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this thermometer! The Kinsa Smart Thermometer is easy to set up . Just download the app and there are easy instructions to follow. We used this as a rectal thermometer since my kids are young. The tip is flexible and it seems more comfortable for my son than other thermometers we have tried in the past. The readings are extremely fast and it's easy to assign the readings to profiles in the app. Not only that, but the app includes instructions on what to do, depending on if there's no fever, or mild/moderate/high fever. There are also additional options on the app to leave notes for medications given and any symptoms being experienced. This thermometer was also very easy to clean and comes with a handy little case to store everything in to keep it away from little hands. I would highly recommend this Kinsa Smart Thermometer to anyone, but especially to parents.

This little stick is thermometer magic! It's so fun lol... I took my own temp 1st and it was completely accurate. My 6 and 7 yr old boys made me take theirs too! I took my 16 month old's temp under the arm and and he didn't fuss too much. It's so easy to open the box and the app easily guides you through the simple steps of the set up. This thermometer is great to track your child's health when they are sick. It logs previous readings and even gives the option to log medicine given. It even helps with dosage if you are unsure. You can create a profile for each family member to keep everything straight for those days when you have more than one kid sick. The readings I get seem to be consistently lower than other thermometers but nothing drastic. I use this as a "travel thermometer" because it is small and doesn't require batteries. You never have to worry about pulling it out of the diaper bag and having the battery be dead, peace of mind! I received the Kinsa as part of the wee spring parent panel and my kids and I love it! The app is easy to install and easy to use. I like that you can calibrate it, love that you can create profiles for different users, track history and it even provides care suggestions. My 4 year old loves the bubble game and all the kids want to take their temperature! Highly recommend!

Easy to set up (be sure to connect it to the Health app on your iPhone right away), easy to use. I'm very grateful for its symptom and temperature tracking capabilities when I had a significant fever last month. (All better now, thanks :)

I'm using it with an iPhone 6 and it works flawlesly!

I bought this online and had to go to a Best Buy half an hour from where I live because the store 2 miles from my house did not have it available for pick up. Only AFTER I got it home did I learn it would NOT work with my Galaxy Note 8. There is no live Customer Support for Kinsa - only texting. Wasting my time going back and forth - now to return it. Annoying.

Does not work with my Samsung S5 or S7.. Very disappointing.
