Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the fun gameplay and unique clay art style of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. Many found the game easy to play and enjoyable for all ages, although some experienced challenges with the controls and noted the limited use of the TV screen. While some players found the difficulty appropriate, others felt it was either too easy or too hard depending on their skill level. A few customers also commented on the game's price and the limited functionality of the amiibo.

This is the biggest upset of the games Ive bought. This was definitely not anything like what I expected, and it wasn't very clear that this game was not a typical kirby game. I played it for all of 3 min, and found it too childish and too stupid. Need to return.

As a multiplayer Kirby game, it's great for parents and kids to play together. My 5-year-old son really enjoys playing as Kirby on the gamepad while I support him on another controller. Of course, there's a downside too: The primary controls are really best suited to a 3DS-type handheld, as only the secondary players can actually look at the TV while playing. In that respect, I feel the game fails, especially as a single player experience. All the same, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse exhibits Nintendo's high-quality gameplay, sound, and graphics standards that we've known and loved forever. It's a terrific game and worth playing.

Don't get me wrong, I really like this game. The art style, music, and multi player capability make this game a work of art. However, it can get rather dry if played for more than an hour or so.

Looks like an awesome follow-up to the DS classic

Kirby: Canvas Curse was the first game I got on my original DS, way back in 2005. It was a blast, and I logged many many hours of addictive play. This appears to take the same formula that made that game so uniquely fun: draw a line for Kirby to roll across. Sounds simple, but the more you play it, the more nuanced you realize it is, and there's a lot of skill required if you want to ace the courses. I am looking forward to experiencing this sequel very much! Also, amiibo... if you want it, good for you, it'll help make things easier (if you're into that kind of thing), but as for me, I buy games... not toys. :p

    Makes Great Use of Gamepad

This game is not a traditional Kirby sidescrolling game, but it is still fun. The game uses the stylus and Gamepad touch screen as it's controls. You draw lines to keep Kirby rolling around in the stages. There are a lot of fun collectables to find and the music is great. Good for kids and adults who enjoy a relaxing gaming experience.
