Cute, but not as good as either of the 3DS entries.

I was expecting a more "Kirby like" game. I plays nothing like the other Kirby games I am used to. Played it for a bit but it sucks so its just collecting dust on the shelf.

I ordered this item. Got an email that they were having a problem shipping to as adressed. So I went back in and fixed the error in the address. Still have not been refunded or the item has also not been reshipped to me.

Watch some gameplay. There are always 4 players on screen even if you are playing alone. The other 3 are played by bots if you are playing alone. Way chaotic sadly... Other Kirby games are better

Pros: - Looks Amazing - Runs Great - Lots of Fun Abilities - Nostalgia Trip Cons: - Not Challenging (great for beginners) - 4 Player Co-Op is too hectic - Short Game Summary: Overall it's a fun game to play single player, or with a friend. However i have noticed that the game is extremely easy with or without help from CPUs or a Friend. You can play the game without recruiting anyone to help you (short of a few easy to solve puzzles or walls that require you to have 4 people pull a switch at the same time) but that kind of ruins the core mechanic of the game. I've played this Solo and made it about 75% through the game in around 4-5 hours, and that's with me doing all of the puzzles and finding the hidden buttons to unlock hidden stages. As far as the Co-Op i've played with up to 3 people and so much is happening on screen you lose your character constantly, and if Player1 (Kirby) runs off you get dragged with him. I know as far as the Story is concerned Kirby games are somewhat lack luster, but comparing this game to Return to Dreamland (GBA) and Canvas Curse (NDS), i didn't care too much for what was going on or why. Like i've stated this game is very laid back and easy to play- but overall i don't think this game is worth the $60 retail price for the content that is given. So... wait for a sale, or buy this one used.

    Kirby is back!

I saw the trailer at E3 last year and knew it was going to be an instant hit. This game is similar to Kirby Triple Deluxe in design but the Allies mechanic bumps it up a notch. Beautiful graphics and fun with friends. The Single Player mode is simple and easy but I did find some challenges in later levels, especially boss battles. Using Amiibo with is very rewarding! Highly recommend!

    Too much for too little

The graphics themselves are great...and that's about all that's great about this game(that and the music). While Kirby games haven't been known to be challenging, long time Kirby fans have said that this game is too easy even for a Kirby game and it's true. Passing the levels feels like a chore rather than fun . About the only times I've found myself having fun is when I get rid of the AI friends and have to beat a boss by myself. But aside from the game being too easy, the levels are very basic(there isn't much replay value other than finding the extra stage switch in some levels). Honestly this game isn't worth purchasing unless it's on sale (I'm talking like 29.99) and WITH the gamer's reward's club discount. But at 47.99(59.99 if you don't have the gamer's reward's membership) it's simply too much to pay for this game. For 2/3 of the asking price you can buy Rayman Legends or for full price you can buy DK Tropical Freeze and you will get your money's worth with either game. Or you don't even have to go that far, for 1/5 of the price(for 11.99) you can buy Loderunner on the Nintendo eshop. It has single and multiplayer modes, it's actually challenging, and you can design levels and characters as well as play levels created by other people. Save your money people(split the bill with whichever friends you plan on playing this game with).

    A Mediocre Experience

    Posted .

This game isn't so much fun, even with friends. The asking price of $60 is a bit steep for what you get. The main campaign is less than 6 hours, and the formula from Return to Dreamland has started to become stale. In terms of difficulty, it is too easy. I sometimes think that even children will be bored by how simplistic it is. For an teen or an adult, it's a matter of mashing buttons until the boss dies. The aftergame, "Heroes in Another Dimension" ramps up difficulty, but only if you're trying to collect all the hearts. Still, this "difficulty" is mostly situations of cheap, instakill scenarios. Overall, I wouldn't recommend the game at its retail price, or even at $35, as it was a few black fridays ago. If you want to experience it, rent from a friend or a get one from a library. If anything, please do listen to the soundtrack; it's one of the highlights of this game for sure.

Great Kids Game, Multiplayer is a godsend!

I feel comfortable letting my young kids play this game. It's not Violent and it's challenging at the right places. Multiplayer allows the 4 of us to play together at once and players can drop in and out as needed. Would recommend for any family of young kids!

Good for "My First Platformer," too easy otherwise

I'm probably just echoing sentiment here, but as cool as all the ideas are in this game it's simply too short and easy to recommend to anyone but young children and die-hard Kirby fans who get a kick out of having Meta Knight and DeDeDe trailing along behind them. Even then, I think actual children these days probably have more fun with stuff like Minecraft than oldschool 2D platformers... For adults looking for good retro platformers on switch I would instead recommend Blaster Master Zero (digital only) which is a Switch Exclusive and Axiom Verge which you can pick up on the platform of your choice, but which the creator of has singled out the Switch version of as being his favorite. Both of those games are also on the short side, this genre always has been, but the price is a bit more commensurate to match in my opinion.

    Great game for my kids

This is a great game for kids. It's not a difficult game, so it can be enjoyed by any type of audience. I was looking for a game that my kids (7 and 4 years old) could play and this is a great choice due to it's lower difficulty, kids friendly gameplay and themes and great character variety.

This is a great game for Switch. Great for all ages. Nice to allow 4 people to play on same console and local play. Many Amiibo's work with it to add extra features.
