Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.

Let me start by saying that I haven't watched this in awhile but it is a must watch/own. RDJ and Val Kilmer are a great combo. This is a very under rated movie in my opinion and more people should see it.

Shane Black's directorial debut is remarkable. Great performances, a spectacular screenplay, and smart direction make this a must own.

    distinct humor

Shane Black's movies have their own brand of comedy, usually related to realistic, haphazard-like action that inherently make fun of conventional action movies while also suggesting how cliche typical action movies are. Even the unique narration subtly points out how standardized and utilitarian narration typically is in films and provides insight to a character whose thoughts aren't as polished as the typical narrator/movie hero.

    Great Neo-Noir!

Gave this a re-watch last night, as well as listening to the commentary. It holds up very well and would likely find itself in my top ten favorite films at this point. I really loved this film, Robert Downey Jr. continues to impress me playing basically himself in different smart-alecky roles. There are a few bits that almost get a little too cute for their own good, but the overall experience is a lot of fun and well worth the watch. Recommended.

The movie that inspired Robert Downey Jr.'s casting as Iron Man, this is one of my all time favorite movies. Shane Black's writing and directing or phenomenal, topped off with an outstanding cast. Hilarious, enticing, and thrilling. Purchasing on Blu Ray was a no brainer.

One of Shane Black's best movies, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang stars Val Kilmer and Robert Downey, Jr in a clever comedy that easily stands as one of Kilmer's funniest performances. Highly recommended!

Shane Black's (Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys) directorial debut is incredibly funny. If you have ever enjoyed a mystery or noir novel, you cannot go wrong. The commentary track is incredible.

I loved this movie from the moment it started. Had to double dip for the blu-ray of this wonderful experience. Robert Downey Jr is a revelation. One of the films that revitalized his career. Check it out!

It's easy to see this being the movie that put Downey in position to get the Iron Man role.

    Pacing is key

This movie will most likely not bore you, it's funny, well made and interesting. But it seems that most of the scenes last less than a few seconds before jumping into a joke another few seconds later and so on and so on that you'll be exhausted by the time it ends. Films need those moments to slow down otherwise the whole thing feels as if it's trying desperately to make you like it.

    GREAT, fun movie

It took me a while to finally see this movie, like 2 years, and now I am kicking myself for not seeing it in the theaters. This is a great, great movie. The script is fantastic and the actors are beyond that, everyone talks about how Iron Man in Robert Downey Jr.'s comeback or breakthrough performance, well, this tops even that. He is beyond good. So is Val Kilmer, and the two have great chemistry together. There is lots of action and enough funny moments to keep you entertained all throughout.

Hilarious and a Great Looking Blu Ray

I love this film. At first I saw the trailer and was turned off by another stylized action comedy with a heist and overused comedy. But let me just say, this film blew me away. Very well done and one of the funniest films I've seen in recent years. Great film, check it out. The blu ray is fantastic but so is the DVD.

    Return of Downey

Curses, hollywood politics sometimes never let good movies get widespread publicity, but this is an excellent movie. The genre is a detective-mystery-comedy. It has some witty sidesplitting laughs while featuring serious who done it plot. This film marked Robert Downey Jr's comeback if you ask me, he does a great job in this movie, and at the 4.99 price it's well worth it, i would have paid 9 as well, it was that good. If it came out today, i think it would have had a big theatrical release. Great film.

    Great parody

    Posted .

This movie is exactly how a parody should operate. It makes light of the weak points of the genre while simultaneously creating a workable plot within it. Though it may not quite be as funny as your average Mel Brooks film (it's much more serious than that), it is much better than the current parodies that just pick scenes from random movies to mock without having a real strong plotline to connect them. This film is definately a must see.

    Great off-beat offering

    Posted .

There's not much that would connect a movie-watcher to "Predator" from "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang", which I think is even more a testament to what Shane Black can offer. I can't wait for the exposure this film will get after audiences see Shane's take on Iron Man. This movie lets the actors breath, it gives it a vital energy to everything happening.

    Great movie

Here's another movie that I just stumbled upon when flipping through my movie channels. I was lucky to catch it from the very beginning. I love film noir and this modern take on the theme was no different. Kilmer and Downey, Jr. were hysterical together...and Downey's narration was equally humorous. I highly recommend this flick.

    It Has It All

Shane Black has proven himself as a writer time and time again over the years. In his directorial debut, he proves himself a master of both crafts. KKBB has some of the most clever writing in a long time, delivered flawlessly by Robert Downey, Jr. and Val Kilmer. This movie is amazingly smart and witty. Though it was given very little publicity, this is one of the best movies of the year.

One my favorite movies of all time

    Posted .

Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is probably one of the more brilliant scripts in a long time. If you're tired of CGI, big budget movies, and movies that are a rehash of the same ol' same ol', then check out this movie. You'll be in for clever writing, great acting, and a great 'who-done-it' story. This is a classic that will be enjoyed for many years to come.
