I absolutely love this refrigerator! It is beautiful inside and out! I was concerned going to a counter top depth, but still plenty of room. The only thing I would change is the marinating tray for a wine bottle holder.

First unit was a complete dud. Would not even turn on (yes, we checked to make sure it was not in store demo mode). The dud DOA unit should have been the massive red flag that quality assurance controls and/or poor design were seriously lacking for this brand, and for us to purchase another brand. How do they even ship a unit that won't even turn on when plugged in??? Are there any QA/QC measures in place at all at the factory??? The replacement unit MAKES A CONSTANT ANNOYING BUZZ when the compressor is compressing refrigerant. Which is basically anytime your fridge is running! We have an open floor plan, so the buzzing noise can be heard across the kitchen, all the way to the end of our relatively large living room and into the dining room. Its unbearable in the kitchen area. Husbands, don't be fooled by your wife's affinity for the nice handles and/or interior, KitchenAid obviously didn't do their engineering design homework as far as noise suppression AND/OR test the product with actual users. Yes, KitchenAid, for four grand plus BUYERS EXPECT A RELATIVELY QUIET APPLIANCE comparable to your competitors refrigerators. We really regret spending what we did on this unit when we could have had a silent Samsung or LG for less money. Our 15 year old GE no-frills fridge was quieter than this one!! Unfortunately life is busy for us and we never swapped the unit to another brand during the return timeframe, because we had such a headache just getting the initial dud swapped out. I can't even get through on the phone to KitchenAid customer service, but considering other reviewers have gotten nowhere with manufacturer assistance on the buzz/noise flaw I'm pretty much resigned to expecting the same from KitchenAid as far as product support/customer satisfaction. Even though we have a Geeksquad extended warranty Best Buy just says "call KitchenAid". We were told by the Best Buy sales rep that this particular model was pulled from production some time ago and had significant changes made to improve it to address defects, but the model number was never changed. Whether that is true or not, I don't know. I would advise against buying this particular unit or the brand unless you like headaches from buzzing appliances. I will update this review if KitchenAid can successfully resolve this.

I have not owned this refrigerator for three years yet, and now I’m forced to dish out an additional $979.92, plus $134 for a diagnostic inspection. Turns out the defrost, fan and seals need to be replaced. It’s been two weeks since the repair guy told me he needed to order the part and now he said it’s going to be another week before he can get to it. I am extremely disappointed with KitchenAid, I only felt safe spending $4,409 on this appliance because I believed they were a solid company and brand name. I feel completely disgusted and robbed that they would not stand behind their product. If this company had any integrity, they would make a recall for this model (KRFC704FPS) and replace their faulty compressor that is a known issue.

black stainless steel no finger prints show, its quiet i dont hear a thing. inside is very roomy . Lots of space the shelve placement and sizes are great The lights inside are the best. when i open the doors to show visitors they are amazed at what they see

First installers didn't take it off Showroom mode and reported at the time not working. Yet, we never heard from Best Buy from whom the installer reported it to. After, reading the manual we discovered how to shut it off. We like the product so far, but communication with Best Buy needs a lot of improvement.

Considering this was the only French door style from this brand that fit in my kitchen space I was very worried when I read the reviews. However I was pleasantly surprised as how functional the spaces were and that non of the bad reviews I read applied to mine. This is a very nice fridge and works great.

Excellent refrigerator with a lot of storage capacity. I was also very impressed with the shelves on the door. They offer quite a bit of variety. The ice and water maker in the door is fantastic!

This is the largest counter depth refrigerator I found, but I bought it because it is a beautiful, sexy refrigerator!! So many beautiful storage areas. The wood trim is not like any other refrigerator!

The only reason I didn't give this refrigerator 5 stars is because it's still fairly new, and I didn't feel I could completely review it yet. However, it's my favorite purchase of my remodel so far! It's beautiful inside and out. The storage spaces are reasonable too, but I usually don't have it full.

There is so much I love about my new French door refrigerator! The easy close drawers, the slide back shelf for my tall items, the beauty of it, inside and out. But it's the water and ice dispenser that is so amazing that I marvel at the engineering of it. You can push the measured fill option and the water fills my cup to the perfect level. It's tall enough for every gigantic cup I have. The size of the ice cubes are perfect. I drink so much water and my former fridge just gave me aggravation because I had to tip the cup to fill it up. I know it's a little thing, but to me, it was annoying me every time I used it. This Kitchenaid refrigerator is the best refrigerator I've ever had!

We love this refrigerator. I like the layout of the top. It seems to accommodate more than my old one , and you can see the items more easily. Love the gray inside with the wooden accents!!!

love this fridge! the lighting is amazing and everything is easy to find. if you like a lot of ice, you may want to get a countertop ice maker too. love the looks, love the chill

5Star Refrigerator. Wood drawers, Nicest I’ve ever seen. Smooth pulls, easy close automatically

This fridge is well designed and done elegantly. It’s easy to open but not so where you are wondering if it’s closed well. The shelving is well done and optimizes space extremely well. The freezer is also well organized. The only thing is the freezer is a tad small. The water function is fantastic. It has pre-measured options if you know how much water you need. It dispenses water neatly without splatter. Having an American made appliances is far better to have than cheap Korean brand for one simple reason (aside from being made in America) is that it’s much easier to get parts (when that time comes).

Awesome refrigerator very quiet & roomy & also very elegant.

We were blown away by how pretty this refrigerator was and the fact it was Kitchenaid, which we trusted as the last ones we had still worked after 20 years. Sadly, 3 months out of the year warranty, it stopped making ice, then the freezer stopped and a day later the refrigerator too. We called Best Buy as we did purchase an extended warranty. Repair came and diagnosed the bad compressor. Then condenser. Then evaporator. Today repair will come again and replace more parts! We have been without our beautiful box for almost 3 weeks now. From what the repair told us, this model and the others like it have faulty compressors. Kitchenaid used a different compressor on this design and they are faulty. If you are considering this model, think again, or at least get the extended warranty. What trouble this is to even complain to the right parties...going to complain to kitchenaid too.
