When it became apparent we were going to need a new dishwasher, I began doing research and reading reviews. We decided we really wanted the extra third rack and narrowed it down to this KitchenAid and a Bosch, both of which got good ratings. We decided we liked the depth of the top rack on the KitchenAid, as well as the fact it got great reviews. We've had it about a month and so far are very pleased. The extra rack does make it easy to get items like spatulas, whisks and other long utensils clean without having using up other space. However, to make room for that extra top rack, the bottom rack seems quite a bit lower than other dishwashers we've had. So when the door is opened, the towel bar on the door nearly reaches the floor. While this is not a problem for us, if you have back problems, you might find it difficult to load/unload dishes and silverware in the bottom rack. In terms of cleaning, we've been very pleased and would definitely recommend this dishwasher.

This dishwasher works well and is quiet. BUT, if you hear a loud grinding noise there is a filter in the motor that’s a metal screen and likes to shred itself apart, which leads to clogging the spray arms. Very common problem with these dishwashers. Happened after only two years.

This dishwasher is WONDERFUL! It is so quiet, you can barely tell it is running. I have put all sorts of yucky things in and they all come out perfectly clean and shiny. My most favorite thing about this dishwasher is the third rack. It is a game-changer. There were so many times with our old dishwasher that there wasn't enough room for all of our utensils. The third rack is the perfect place for serving spoons, cutlery, and smaller bowls.

We love this dishwasher! I can not believe how many dishes we can load in this. We can finally clean up the kitchen without having to do 2 loads! I have no idea why some people say it is loud unless it isn't installed properly or something. This is a very quiet dishwasher. And if that isn't enough it cleans the dishes very well.

We love this dishwasher, so glad we upgraded. We have an infant and the third rack is great for bottles and pump parts. It's so exciting that the dishes are actually dry when they are done. Also its so quiet I can't even tell it's running most of the time.

We love our new dishwasher. Love the upper rack. We can put our drinking glasses and leaves room for the top rack to store other things.

This KitchenAid dishwasher has been a fantastic upgrade. The interior capacity is excellent — the third rack adds real flexibility and lets you fit more in every cycle. The build quality feels premium, from the sturdy racks to the stainless-steel tub. And at 44 dBA, it’s incredibly quiet — you barely notice it’s running. Overall, a reliable, spacious, and very well-built dishwasher that performs exactly as promised.

My kitchen is now “the sounds of silence.” Love that it is so quiet. Silverware is shinier than my old dishwasher. Most importantly the racks work for our family’s needs. (The kid insists on a separate bowl for each component of the meal, so we have a lot of bowls to wash.) Heated cycle actually dries the plastic cups used by said kid.

The only reason I give it four instead of five is that the slide rails the racks are on seem a bit flimsy, so hoping they hold up over time. That being said, the machine is ROOMY, and you can adjust the middle rack up and down a bit. Dishes come out clean and it is fairly quiet. You notice the start-up noise, but once it's been running for a bit, you forget it's on. Only had for a week, but so far so good.

Our old GE washer gave up and we replaced it with this KitchenAid. In a word: WOW. Three racks are amazing. The silverware rack comes out and the lid is removable as well. We love that it's on the side which allows for more configurations and flexibility in loading. Silverware can go on the top shelf (also removable tray). The middle shelf is adjustable, but we haven't yet found a need to do so. The controls are on top of the door, which is tucked a little under our counter which is great for aesthetic, but makes it less easy to see. The best part for us: SUPER quiet. Reading other reviews we had no idea how to judge dBA's, but would not go with any other. It is so quiet that we almost don't know it's on, unless you get up close next to it and listen carefully. If it was any quieter, we'd be constantly concerned that its not operating. I would not go with any other. There are several wash options of course and it does take longer, but we discovered it uses less water and less energy with longer cycles. We haven't yet experienced needing to have a load of dishes washed in an hurry, so we're fine with less water/less energy and taking longer.

Very pleased. This dishwasher is quiet and cleans great. Highly recommend. The third upper rack extends capacity without interfering with loading things in the second rack. No need to rinse dishes. Dries well. Top controls keep the face of the dishwasher door uncluttered. Looks great and goes well with our Kitchenaid stove and refrigerator.

So far no complaints! Cleans well, is quiet, dried and the third rack is a nice addition! My only issue was around installation. The mounting configuration and requirements led to the door not being flush with my countertops when closed. Still functional and looks nice but wish it had set back farther. Some washers that were "cosmetic" snapped or broke off during install.

Quiet, need to look at indicator lights to tell it’s running. Very effective cleaning and no residue on glassware using Finish tabs from Costco, and Finish rinse aid. The pro wash setting is favorite as it senses soil and adjusts accordingly. Took me a while to get used to uppermost extra rack. This dishwasher holds more than any previous dishwasher. I highly recommend this model.

Replaced an older dishwasher as part of updating our kitchen appliances, and went with the Kitchenaid brand throughout. This dishwasher is excellent. The third rack is a great feature and our dishes seem to get much cleaner. One thing we noticed right away is how dry our plastic items were coming out of the dishwasher.

So far, I absolutely love this dishwasher. The third rack is a GAME CHANGER. It is SUPER quiet when it is running a cycle and washes/dries very well.
