I love the microwave/oven combo and the option to have two ovens available. With the holidays coming up, so excited to host dinners.

After weeks and weeks of delay, the microwave oven does not work.

This unit replaces the original stove and microwave in my 30+ year old house. Needless to say, a significant upgrade in features, capabilities and appearance. One of my favorite features is the big, clear oven window with good interior lighting. It is better than watching TV to watch my food cook. I really like the convection oven capabilities in both the oven and microwave. I also like the round metal pan that can be used in the microwave. I made an omelet that was fantastic. My only criticism is on the installation instructions in the manual. It is lacking specifics on the electrical wiring requirements. It took some digging, but I found a new 40A service and breaker were needed. I tried to find out how the stove was actually wired so I could prepare the connection to the house properly but there were no details. My old microwave required a 120V line and the oven a 240V 30Amp service. I tried to confirm that the 120V service would not be needed. I even contacted Kitchenaid to provide this detail, but they did not. There was no junction box behind the old oven, so the new oven installer said I needed a new junction box. In order to get the oven installed on time I had to pay extra for the new junction box. If the installation instructions had this type of electrical wiring detail I would have been 100% ready and installation would have gone much smoother.

Summary says it all. The unit arrived and the sensor on the microwave door didn't work, so it won't turn on - at least that's my diagnosis on the problem. Installer agrees its dead. Replacement promised for a month after purchase, but not here yet.

I can't say enough about the oven. Quality is top notch and it is super quiet compared to the Jenn Air we replaced. But what is not really clear in the description is this is not just a microwave combo, it is a double oven. The microwave has a heating element and can be used as convection oven to do double-oven duty when entertaining. It does not just limit you to nuking things in the top oven. It also comes with accessories for steaming, and crisping, and yes, baking in the top oven. I got far more than I thought I was paying for when it was installed and we began using it. We thought we were limited to an oven and microwave in our tight install space but really wanted a true double, what you get is BOTH! Great oven.

We bought this for our new home along with the refrigerator.We are very happy with this purchase. Everything works great.Both the microwave and the convection oven got a very good space inside with polished stainless steel finishing which looks great. The cooling fans are very quiet and we don't even notice them being ON. Lights are too good in both ovens. The control panel looks simple and easy to operate. We mostly use the microwave for reheating food, frozen meals, defrosting, stuff like that. But we use convection oven a lot.Very happy in baking cookies and cakes.Both of them are doing a perfect combo. Fast shipping from best buy. Looking stylish and a breeze to install.
