    Think Twice, Not so Nice

Purchased this oven when we remodeled the kitchen. KitchenAid had a good reputation until the unit died after a little bit over a year. Have Best Buy Total Tech to cover and they are trying their 3rd attempt to fix it after a 3 month period of ordering parts and reschedules on my part and theirs. KitchenAid is really a rebranded Whirlpool to make it look fancy. Knowing what I know now, I would NOT buy this unit or any other rebranded Whirlpool with an upcharge to make it look nice. You can dress up a pig all you want but it's still a pig.

    So Quiet!

When I was researching ovens, I read about a lot of noisy ones. If that's a problem for you, then you will LOVE this oven. It makes so little noise that I sometimes check to be sure it's on! Love that! It's a nice roomy oven with four racks. I can fit a lot in it at one time. The only drawback is the timer. If you set the timer, the oven will turn off when it reaches the set time. It may be a great safety measure, but if you're baking and you miss hearing the timer (it's very quiet, just a polite ding, ding), then when you check on your food, you'll find that the oven is off and the temperature has already fallen substantially. Do not set the timer and then leave the room because you will not hear it. Invest in an old-fashioned OXO timer and use that instead. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with its performance.

    Nice Oven!

This is easy to use and nice looking as part of an all Kitchen Aid set. I like that it has the convection option to bake 2 rows at a time. It uses the convection fan periodically to keep the temperature uniform during regular baking too. I like that it has the meat temperature probe that plugs into the oven so you can tell it you target internal temperature and the. It turns itself off to avoid over baking. We did have an intermittent buzz from one of two identical ovens we got and Kitchen Aid sent a technician to take care of it right away. He even gave us some tips for using out other appliances and took care of some minor squeaks and adjustments of out other pieces we bought together. We are very satisfied with this purchase.

Very pleased with the oven thusfar. We replaced a GM Monogram oven with this model and were pleasantly surprised how quiet the oven is. The cooling fan can barely be heard. It heats up quickly, holds temperature well and the lower rack is nicely retractable. While some of the new models have video touch screens and wifi connected, we have found that the electronics fail quicker. This model has all of the features needed without extra things to go wrong.

Absolutely love this oven!!! I researched high and low and deceided on this KitchenAid and it is excellent! The lights on the inside are so bright you can check on what is cooking and actually see it! I love the sliding rack as well. Very easy to use and looks so nice. Cooks great! We have the matching microwave and dishwasher.

Very attractive inside and out. Controls are simple and very intuitive. Only gripes are it takes a long time to pre-heat, and the timer buzzer sound is very quiet. Otherwise love it.

    NICE BUILT IN OVEN!

We are enjoying our electric oven so far. We wanted a counter cooktop (gas) with electric oven built in below and we're so glad we did this. No more food falling behind the cooktop or down the sides! Note - it will burn off fumes the first several times you turn it on, so we just did that without food early in the morning before the heat started and now the smell is almost gone. It smoked initially which concerned us, but I looked it up and this is common with new ovens. We like the panel and the blue inside - no complaints so far. We've only had it for about a month.

So far so good. Had this for 2 months and overall it works well. Still adjusting the convect vs regular oven features. Doesn't always translate recipe temps properly. Not critical for me as I'm not doing elaborate baking. Satisfied with the purchase.

Bakes and broils great. Looking forward to baking a birthday cake. Have not used convection feature yet. Oven window is large and clear. Makes it easy to peak without opening door. Clean lines heavy stainless steel give it a solid look and feel. The blue interior is a great touch.

I fought my old oven for years with varying temperatures and 30 minute pre-heats before I decided to purchase a new oven. Best Buy has really good selections and fantastic customer support. Because I had older built-in cabinets, I needed help finding an oven and range top that fit my existing cut-outs and still had all the features that I wanted...and fortunately I got more than I expected at a really good price. The oven pre-heats quickly and temperatures are accurate and I got the smart convection feature to make using convection more accurate as well.

This oven is awesome. One of the shelves can be stored way up high, totally out of the way. The other two racks function differently and can be moved where you want them. The internal lights are bright and illuminate the total interior. The control panel is easy to use. It preheats quickly and almost silently.
