    Well, we bought this in November, had it delivered mid January, and it has run 0 times. Once we were able to get someone to come out, we found out that there were 2 parts broken on the brand new dishwasher, cool cool cool. Can’t get a replacement dishwasher, can’t get replacement parts. Every person who we’ve dealt with has done their best, just pretty sure the systems they are stuck with suck. It looks nice though...

    Dishwasher Doesn’t Drain Soapy Water—Please Help

    Won’t drain soapy water and need service attention to exchange. Plumber says all pipes clear and pump not working on dishwasher. Has never worked. Need Best Buy service assistance

    Broke 6 months after manufacturer's warranty

    After a year and a half, so just out of warranty, the dishwasher developed a leak. We called a repair guy and he informed us that the heating elements had been exposed to water and that it was dangerous.

    Best Buy once again screwed me over and didnt deliver it after about 10 phone calls and promises it was coming. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!

    Don’t know how it works. Returned this item soon after purchasing when we found out a Bosch 800 series was available.

    Kitchenaid Dishwasher well worth the price @ $749

    The Kitchenaid DW was highly recommended to me by a very good friend in the appliance business. Particularly important it was made in the USA. This unit was reasonably priced and looks good. More importantly, when running the DW is QUIET @ 44 decibels!!!

    This dishwasher is okay. Nothing special. The top rack is almost useless, but after seeing how they proposed the top rack be used, I'll see if my larger mugs fit on the top rack, as well as my goblet glasses... The flat utensil tray is also a bust on the top rack. It only fits a few things, but that's fine -I've learned what I can and can't put up there... I must comment on the basket that holds utensils. It was awful the first day trying to fit the right-sized forks, spoons, etc. into the slots, but after looking at the basket closely, the top can be removed, and it tells you how on the actual basket, so save yourself some stress and just take the darn top off of the basket and life and dishes will be so much easier! It cleans well - now if you've got days old caked on, dried food on a plate, it's not going to come out clean, but it's not rocket science, so just rinse off your plates and get them in the dishwasher for a good wash and dry. Also, I maybe need to mention that any food you leave on a plate only swirls around as your dishes are being washed, and ends up at the bottom of the basket of the dishwasher, and that needs to be cleaned out every time you use the dishwasher (gross) so cleaning off before placing them in the dishwasher will save you a lot of time and gagging.

    This works only sporadically. It will stop mid-cycle and beep relentlessly. I'll then have to cancel/drain and restart it, only to have the same thing happen again. I've had service techs come out here twice for it, and the issue persists.

    Disappointed, doesn't dry well, too long to wash

    Takes hours to wash, dishes come out soaked, dryer doesn't work well. Too much money for this dishwasher, not worth it. We will be returning.

    Frustrated and Disappointed San

    Our dishwasher was delivered and installed by Best Buy on 3/28/2025. We used it twice and it did not dry the dishes AT ALL --> it had water standing on all dishes despite putting it on the extra dry setting. Then we tried running it again and it did not make any noise despite stating it was "washing", after 2 hours, the dishwasher was VERY hot and the dishes had not been washed at all, no water, the soap leaked out of the dispenser into the bottom of the dishwasher. We tried different settings and again, the same result, after 45 minutes, no noise, no water, and the machine was very hot --> resulting in major concerns about fire hazard. I called the repair number on day 14, but it was 11pm on a Friday night and they were closed. I thought they were closed for the entire weekend, so I called first thing Monday morning. Unfortunately, I was told that since we've have had this brand new machine for 16 days (2 days longer than the allowed 14-day return), neither Best Buy nor KitchenAid would replace this machine. I was told by the manufacturer repeatedly, that we would have to wait > 1 week for a service person to repair this BRAND NEW machine. Only if it cannot be fixed after FOUR attempts, then they might replace it. Despite speaking with 2 managers/supervisors (at each company - Best Buy and KitchenAid) they have refused to replace this brand new and completely nonworking dishwasher!! We are waiting for repairs now - extremely unhappy and frustrated with these issues.

    Fatal blinking clean light problem

    Beware the missing bad reviews, the same exact model KDFM404KPS was sold to us in 1/21, but at that time it was sold as 38 dab instead of the current 44 dba so maybe they feel they don’t have to share the bad reviews about that dreaded blinking Clean light that renders the machine useless without a new control panel. Ours started 2 days after the 1 year warranty expired. Kitchenaid should be ashamed of themselves because many owners have experienced this same problem! Unfortunately ours didn’t happen until 2 days after warranty!!! Apparently it’s because the circuit board was not soldered correctly in the manufacturing process. Repair experts consider it a design flaw! Same on Kitchenaid and Best Buy for listing the same model as a different dba so the bad reviews don’t show up for current buyers of this poorly designed machine!
