Our hand mixer was just about to die, and this is more than a suitable replacement . No problems, and expect none for the foreseeable future. An heirloom in the making!

I chose Kitchen Aid based on the quality of the brand. We selected the Ice Blue color together, but mostly her preference. She will inherit this piece from me at some point and she knows that already. She loves to cook, and I expect we will make mountains of memories and yumminess as we explore all sorts of family recipes together.
