This was on sale, plus I used my Best Buy rewards certificate. I’m excited to be able to grind our own burger and experiment with adding different seasoning flavors. I prefer the metal meat grinder over the kitchenaid plastic one.

This actually grinds pretty good, as long as you do it as recommended.

The food grinder worked better than I expected. Set the mixer on power level 4 and start putting meat in opening. It did work better with the meat lightly frozen and I would suggest cutting the meat into smaller cubes before putting it in the freezer to chill. It goes into the feed chute better cut into quarter sized pieces. I ground 10 pounds of venison meat during my first session to make sure the mixer motor wouldn't overheat and it did not. Packaged the first ground meat and then finished grinding the remaining 13 pounds of venison. I used the larger screen and worked great.
