Not for all meats. I definately recommend grinding only the meats it says should be ground.

Just used the grinder for the first time today. Because it’s a plastic housing take your time when grinding and there should be no problems. Ground several cuts of meat, no issues, worked as advertised.

Bought this whole kit for the wife for Christmas. It has a commercial feel to it. Everything is very sturdy, and easily attaches, or swaps out.

There's a less expensive plastic version. DO NOT BUY IT! Spend the extra few bucks and get one that won't flex under the pressure and cause warping and gross black bits in your grind.

The KitchenAid metal food grinder attachment for stand-mixers works quite well, and is solidly constructed. For some incomprehensible reason they tell you NOT to put most of its parts through a dish washer, which makes no sense. . . .

We made summer sausage with our grinder attachment and used the shooter attachment to stuff the sausage skins. You can get skins and seasonings at Bass Pro Shop. Turned out well.

The quality seems fine. The only issue have is the medium grind plate is too fine and the coarse plate is too thick. My old plastic grinder had a medium plate that was just right and identical to store ground. I wish there was a grind plate available that I could buy that matched the old KitchenAid plate. Otherwise this is a fine product that I would buy again.

Nice addon, my wife loves this attachment. Now we can make our own raw meat.

Perfect! Easy grind, great to clean and glad made the purchase. I ground a whole boneless pork loin in a little less than 1 hour, course, and then fine.
