I bought a Kitchen Aid because it is made by Whirlpool. I was replacing a built in Whirlpool Gold Series Dishwasher after 12 years and wanted to go with the same company to make sure it would fit in the existing opening. When geek squad showed up to replace it, it would not fit in the opening after they removed the Whirlpool dishwasher. Geek Squad Tech informed me that the stainless steel tub on the dishwasher was bigger than the plastic tubs. All the specifications I reviewed do not indicate that the stainless is wider than older plastic tub models. DO NOT BUY A WHIRLPOOL OR KITCHENAID IF YOU ARE REPLACING AN EXISITING DISHWASHER. IT WILL NOT FIT. VERY FRUSTRATING. Ended up switching this out to a Bosch because the Geek Squad tech indicated they are smaller than the new Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid Models.

Garbage. Pure and absolute garbage. Died after 2.5 years. Don't waste your money. Warranty was useless as well. NEVER BUY KITCHENAID!!!

I have been disappointed numerous times already. My last dishwasher far surpassed this one. I was asked recently if I would recommend this model and I would NOT. This is the second Consumer Report that has hot given me accurate reviews of the items

I have heard that these are good dishwashers. My sister loves hers. BUT they delivered not one, not two, but three and all had severely bent frames and couldn't be installed. I don't know if there was a bad batch from the factory or what. We decided not to try a fourth and got a Bosch which we love. Btw, Best Buy was wonderful throughout the ordeal and even gave us a gift card for our inconvenience.

This dishwasher was not worth the money. I had to have it fixed in less then a year. The door for the soap was not optning at the right time. The dishwasher does not clean well. We have to make sure we rince the dishes really well first before we put into the washer. So disappointed with this piece of crap. Don't buy kitchenAid dishwashers!

I purchased store out of box item...immaculate condition...delivered with dents and dings that were not on product at store...also bought a refrigerator delivered with new dents and dings...(see previous review)

Died after two years. Avoid. Repair cost nearly as much as buying a new dishwasher.

Looked like a good dishwasher with features I wanted but the installer could not get it to fit under my counter. Would not go far enough back no matter what he did. I had to get another brand.

I've been very disappointed with this dishwasher. Installation parts that were supposed to come with it weren't there and took 6 calls to KitchenAid and a month before they sent me the parts. Since then I've had clips that are supposed to hold the adjustable rack in place break. Recommend buying a different brand.

I purchased a full package of kitchen aid appliance at the end of 2017. As of now two of the four appliances have completely stopped functioning. that a 50% failure rate in a two-year span!!!!! Do Not Buy These Product's there cheaply made and kitchen Aid will not stand by them!!!!!

Had the dishwasher a year and a half. Motherboard went out and has been over a month gettting a part which is on infinite backorder. Now I have to go find a new one at the same price point because they don't make this model anymore and don't have one in stock. I also, now have to buy a new protection plan for the new dishwasher even though we bought a 5 yr warranty.

So we bought this in 6/17 and in 2 years it started leaking from underneath bad. So had to pay to get it fixed. Now, the top carriage to hold the dishes broke and we have to hold it in place with a wire until we get it fixed. For the money, you would think it would last more than 2 years! Gee! Do not recommend!

This defective product cost me $40k insurance claim. Kitchen aid mother company whirlpool fighting the claim.

I liked this dishwasher until the pump started leaking only after four years. New dishwashers are all on backorder until the end of August.

Purchased due to best marks on Con Rpts, this dishwasher has lived up to our expectations. I was happy to find this model KDTM354DSS on KitchenAid's website, so that I could specifically request a dishwasher that does not have the red dots on the ends of the handles. I asked why KitchenAid had started making their dishwashers with handles that have red dots on the ends, and I was advised that this is because LG started making their dishwashers with the curved handle that is on this model. True, it matches our 2016 LG French Door refrigerator (the only model on the market that fit our cabinetry). However, in my opinion that reaction to a competitor's imitation makes as much sense as buzz-cutting your hair because somebody else got your pretty haircut. This dishwasher's curved handle has a better look (pretty, rather than utilitarian and unnecessarily noticeable) and a better feel (smooth, rather than rough) than the handles with the red dots. We are glad that we got this one with only two racks, and no third rack on top. The clearance is better on this two rack model for items that we wash commonly on the top rack (I checked this out it the store). This dishwasher is very quiet, displays its status unobtrusively on the front, and cleans well. We are very happy with it.

Horrible dishwasher. It’s had 4 different repairs in a little over a year. Would never buy again. Buyer beware.

Does not wash well even after rinsing the dishes before wash. Does not clean dishes.

Had to return it. It was dented on the front in the middle and on one side.
