The Klipsch Reference 400 is bulky with descent sound. Sound was a little distorted at higher volumes. Good for medium sized room.

Went to store with intent to by a different brand/size. Had researched this one as well. When I got to the store this one was on sale. Despite being larger than the one I intended to buy (10" intended, 12" actually purchased) I bought this one based on the reviews, the Klipsch name and better price. Once home and hooked up, took just a couple of minutes to do by the way, and another couple to dial in the settings the way I wanted, I'm VERY happy with it! It provides the extra bass I wanted and thumps quite well when needed without being over powering. I usually watch TV shows with this and some movies. Music as well when cleaning the house....sounds great across the board.

Could not be happier with this sub. It kicks arsse!! Even at lowest setting. And to know I have the power when needed. Shakes the house!!! Buy it!! Wait til Black Friday though. Half price baby!

I"m Using it with onkyo 636 receiver this base rocks

This subwoofer sounds good with the new TV and receiver I just purchased and installed. It was not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but it is decent and sounds good.

This sub was what my system was missing. It provides the deep bass that gives the viewer that "movie theater" experience. The sub has been able to handle anything my system has asked of it. My only complaint is that I only purchased one. The next time they are on sale I will be the first in line to get another.

I've had the 10' Klipsch reference sub and enjoyed that so the addition of the 12' sub is even more powerful. Looks sharp and adds deep bass to music and movies. A good price for a great sub.

I bought two of these subwoofers and it sounds great. Enough power to shake the whole house and the clarity are not top notch but it's OK. So far really happy with it.

I finally hooked this subwoofer up to my sound system. I'm running a Marantz SR6011 Receiver, a pair of Klipsch R-28F Floor standing speakers, and a pair of Klipsch R-15 for surround speakers. I have it set to the LFE mode. Oh my! what a difference it made. I watched a movie that I had currently seen so I new the all the sound effects in it. It added a whole new dimension to the sound, the intensity and rumbling that this subwoofer produced during those same sound effects were eye opening. At times I had to turn the volume down. I'm still fine tuning it to blend it in more with the rest of my sound system, but I am impressed.

Good entry level sub, nice finish, powerful enough for most people's needs. LFE input for those who matter. It does take up a big foot print and maybe a bit much for small apartments. Placement is key for optimum sound as is for most subs. Good home theater sub, fair for music. The rumble and power is there just a little lacking on the punch.

This is a great sub, don't realize how much power is there until you go into other rooms in the house and hear the pictures rattling on the walls. Very clear, and powerful. Love it.

Awesome quality, sound, and clarity. The bass of the subwoofer is not overpowering, which provides a smooth and rich sound that you would expect from a Klipsch product.

had a smaller one but did not fill the room, this is what you need! clear deep bass! Price is well worth it so! Price is high but you will not regret buying..you get what you pay for

Getting the cross over was easy and the volume took a few movies to get dialed in. It sounds great and going from the 10 inch to 12 was worth it.

When Klipsch speakers were discounted by 50% for black Friday of 2016, I had to get these things. I purchased the 2 front, 2 rear, and center speakers along with the subwoofer. Listen to me when I tell you that no wall mounted object, nor unsecured or lightweight object is safe from thunderous force of this speaker, it's not hyperbole. I truly enjoy the cinema sound experience when I watch movies, and when I listen to my favorite hip hop and r&b tracks, I feel immersed in the music. I typically have the volume level on this unite at 25% and the base at 25%, anything higher, make sure you secure all items in the room.

I got 2 of these on Black Friday sale for $224.99/each and as it turns out this is a great that price. This my 1st AV / Home-theater setup and so far I am very pleased. Unless one is an extreme audiophile, it is difficult to imagine if / why someone would anything beyond this, notes are deep and clear. I stay in an townhouse sharing walls on both the sides with the neighbors, so would never be able crack up this setup to its full potential anytime soon. Great for movies! A little overwhelming for music. It can be adjusted at the unit. Fortunately my receiver can just cut it out for listening to music.

I have other Klipsch Reference speakers. The subwoofer completes the set. Outstanding sound, easy to install and setup! Would recommend Klipsch products to all.

This subwoofer has plenty of power to rattle your whole living room. I got it on sale but it's worth its full price. I recommend hearing it, it'll convince you to buy it.
