    I purchased this speaker because of the Sub 12 synergy series. Its sounds just as good but I would not say better. Overall its a great subwoofer.

    Definitely not as good a response as its down firing predecessor which could hold a better a higher sound quality without producing a rattling sensation. So the only way I have found to balance this is to decrease the firing to a very low gain thus losing that base quality that I looked forward too. Lastly I expect that once I place 2 of these in the room that may well compensate with a higher quality of definition.
