Very nice Woofer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My old woofer finally died. I was looking for a good mid priced woofer and this woofer fit the bill. From the first time I connected it to my sound system I have enjoyed it every time I watch tv and or movies. Yes, I would recommend this item to anyone who is looking for a good solid mid priced woofer.

I Wish I Liked This More
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted so bad, to like this. Upon first plugin, and what I thought to be tune, it was extremely punchy and muddy. I ended up having to dial this sub way back (in crossover freq and gain) to correct its "flaws", but it still wasn't what I was looking for. It always sounds as if it is being pushed harder than it wants, even when dialed back. The SW-450 10" that I have outperforms it in both quality of sound and sub bass frequency, able to perform better at very low frequencies, without even a hint of port noise. I can agree with most of the mid-range reviews of this product, as I think it would be great for a budding audiophile, but lacks the depth required of someone who knows what they are really looking for. This felt a bit cheap in quality, especially considering its namesake. Seems to be a lower model than the previous, comparably priced subs. This product would be well suited to a consumer looking for a loud system, but not refined and warm. My recommendation of this product would be based on the level of system a person was looking to build. I would rather spend the extra dollars to make it right, as I simply cannot go backwards in sound quality from where I am currently.

Great beginners sub
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this sub on sale for $325 and it sounds great in my bedroom setup. I moved it to the living room to see how a sub like this would sound in a larger room and was disappointed. If you're looking for a great sounding sub in a smaller room its great! If you want it in a larger room i wouldn't purchase unless you go dual. Next sub will be svs but this is still a decent woofer if you can get it at sale price. Id personally never pay 450 for this sub though.

Great sound, very happy.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Recently purchased this sub and I am extremely happy. I originally bought the 10" Sony but was not impressed, so I returned it for this one. Great bass and very good sound for the price.

Nice subwoofer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought 2 of these Klipsch subwoofers on Black Friday since they were half off for my dedicated movie theater and I'm happy with them. They were replacing an old but high end 1200 watt rms Velodyne that I really miss but a lightning strike took care of that. At the price I paid these subs sound pretty good. Got the warranty too just in case. If you can get them on sale like this there is great value here. If your impatient the retail price isn't horrible when comparing other brands. I may just buy a 3rd one of these subs for music as I also have the 8" r28f towers so perhaps next sale.

AWESOME!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just received this today and hooked it up to replace a blown sub in my surround system for my man cave. Barely have the thing turned up and put on some hip hop just to test it and next thing I knew, my 17 year old daughter was yelling downstairs "Dad, turn that down, you're shaking the dishes!!!" In other words, when I watch a movie, sports, or play video games, this is going to be amazing!!! It is about 3 times the size of my previous sub, so if you are looking for a small unit, this is not it. It is large, impressive, and pumps out the sound.

The 15's just became mids
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi there!!! I'm a middle class Michigan boy who has a love for loud music and fast engines. Bought some old Fisher 15" boxes at a garage sale and stuffed them full of reasonable priced woofers and mids. I have the bose center and surrounds with a 3" JBL bookshelf to back up the center channel. An HK 115AV that I got for 40$ off craigslist and it sounded very good. Added the Klipsch sub and it changed the whole deal. My 15's are more or less mids now lol. This sub is the truth. Buy it....... NOW! lmao

Lots of power, outperforms Klipsch SW-112
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is indeed an improvement from its reference predecessor. I was surprised it outperforms my SW-112 unit

great sounding sub
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this subwoofer from best buy after reading some reviews from many different sites. There are however a few differences to the sub that should be noted. This subwoofer is REAR ported, and not front firing as many would suggest. It does fire plenty of sound forward since the cone faces that direction, but it sounds best about 10" off a wall. The lows go down very low, and for the money, it is a tough subwoofer to beat. Only reason I don't give this 5 stars is I am not super fond of the exterior veneer. It isn't super durable, but does look nice.

Awesome Sub
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went into best buy looking for a Polk Subwoofer. The representative said they were out of stock and asked if I would like to here a Klipsch sub. Reluctantly I said yes. After hearing it I was immediately blow away by the sound. I told him my living room was kind of small he suggested a 10 inch. But I bought a 12 inch instead. With the gain all the way down this thing is really impressive. Ive had my sub about 5 months and overall I'd buy it again.

Great for movies but not necessarily for music
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This subwoofer likes to be LOUD. It seems to know no other way to be other than LOUD. It is VERY aggressive and seems to want nothing more than to bring down your house. I think it is great for action movies but I do not believe that the sound quality is proper for music unless you listen to mostly electronic, rap, or hip-hop and you cherish bass and volume above all else. Can also get boomy - needed to keep the crossover at a very low setting to tame the boominess. I also got the 10" version of this subwoofer (R-10SW). The 10" version is less boomy than the 12", but the 12" bass is deeper than the 10". But, overall, I feel the same about the 10" that I do about the 12".

The eviction machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing delivers chest pounding, thunderous bass. Guarentee'd to make the neighbors mad if you really crank it. Only downside is it can be a bit "boomy" in some music, but for a home theatre sub this performs wonderfully.

Great sound, good bass
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.purchased on black friday 2017, and june 2018 the imputs went out. Had GSP so was able to exchange. Had at 20% gain and 80hz. Hopefully quality on next one will be better! As for the performance, the many other reviews have said the same thing. IT sounds awesome. I've had a few different subs, this one for the price puts out the best sound, without being to loud, but also get's very loud when you crank it up. Klipsch did a great job with this sub. Good on them.

Just ok
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as loud as my older Klipsch down firing subwoofer. My older Klipsch you can feel the bass the new one you just hear it. It's not terrible but if you are looking to shake your house apart it's not for you. I bought 8 inch Klipsch towers and the towers out power the subwoofer :(

More than enough bass!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was torn between this sub and the model above this one (600w). I ended up going with this one. More than enough bass to satisfy 99 percent of people. It's got enough bass to even annoy me at times!

Watch out
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.awsome sound but watch out for quality of components. Used mine for home theater, nothing extreme. Amp has burned out with minimal use. A very common problem apparently reading online. Be ready for extra out of pocket expenses if you buy this product. I will not buy or support klipsch again. Fork out the extra cash and get something quality.
