Purchased these speakers. Found out they were the same as my current speakers. Nothing elaborate. Not exceptional. Tried taking them back to purchase something of better quality, something suited for my needs and wants, only to discover Best Buy doesn't except returns past 15 days. Ouch. A big loss on our part.

The speakers do an ok job. I think that if you have the time to shop around you could find better at this price point. If I would have been able to compare them in the store I'm not sure I would have bought them. But the device was broken and no one seemed to care.

I have a similar size Cerwin Vega bookshelf speakers that are 20 years old that sound much better. Looking at the design of these speakers, I would have expected much more.

Bought these speakers yesterday and couldn't be more happy. Powering them with a 7.2 channel sony receiver that puts out 145w per channel. I know klipsch makes good speakers, so It was between these and some bowers and wilkins that were 550 for the pair. I'm currently just using these two speakers as my home entertainment. I was starting here and will branch out with a center channel next, and upgrade the sub I have. But for now these are amazing. If you're thinking about the soundbar option I would choose these instead. These speakers get really loud, dialogue is clear, and they have amazing bass. For some reason I can't figure out how to get my sub working with my blu ray player. I think it's just too old and the connections are bad. That being said these speakers make the room sound like you have a sub working. Music sounds really good with them, movies and tv are great too. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some high quality sound on a budget. the receiver I bought was on sale for 299. So I spent around 600. I was going to buy a denon soundbar at 600, and I'm glad I didn't. These speakers are incredible.

I bought these on sale for $124.99, Black Friday Sale. I have owned many Klipsch Reference ii speakers and I was surprised to hear that they sound very much like them, given they are a cheaper version. I have them hooked up to a Pioneer Elite VSX-45 receiver and matched with a Polk Subwoofer for a simple stereo setup at the moment. Out of the box the mids sound reserved and muffled. Playing them at moderate volume for just the short time I have had already started to liven them up and break them in a bit, so a good 40-50 of break-in wouldn't hurt before being critical. The highs are very clear and sharp but not overbearing as I found my reference ii series to be. Since I have them paired with a powered subwoofer they are only playing 80hz on up and they do that very well, so I can't judge them full range. The build quality is as good as any Klipsch speaker I've bought before. Highly recommend

I purchased these on sale for $149, which was a great price, but the sound quality is terrible. There's just no depth as music sounds very flat. I hooked these up to a Denon S720 receiver, but my Bose Soundlink Color plays music much better, with a much richer sound. I am going to return these for Sonos.

The highs on these things sounded very tinny, brittle, harsh. most likely because of the fact that the tweeters are aluminum. when listening to death metal, which is very heavy in the low-mid frequencies, there was a certain "boofiness" or "honkiness" that popped out during certain guitar crunches. (i should mention i listened to all genres and they sounded off with all of them) I have a set of jbl studio monitors that cost 300 dollars for both that sound soooo much better than these. mostly it's the high frequency weirdness that made me decide to return them. it was just unnerving after about 20 minutes into each listening session. yes i know klipsch is supposed to be a more "bright" sounding speaker brand, but these were not just bright, they were uncomfortably harsh. I ended up ordering some JBL arena 180 floorstanding speakers cuz i already knew JBL makes outstanding speakers and i wouldn't have to sit there scrutinizing the sound to figure out if they're supposed to sound weird. lol
