    Size doesn't matter

My surround sound speakers weren't adequate for listening to music, or so my wife kept reminding me. Finally, after years of complaints, i decided to stop by the speaker area at BB that had a sample showcase of the usual suspects. I couldn't believe that these little guys were outclassing the big dogs. So I picked them up (at half price) and am enjoying listening to music for the first time in a decade. I used the power subwoofer just because it was there, but these speakers are amazing. I had forgotten how good music can sound. Now I am watching sports with a musical accompaniment while typing a review in musical bliss. Don't sleep, these speakers are well worth the full price, but if you can catch them on sale, you will be doubly pleased.

If you are an actual audiophile, you will not be pleased with this speaker. It has a very muddy and muted sound. The highs are terrible you can hardly here the high hat with drums. I immediately returned them and will be getting a higher end speaker. You get what you pay for when it comes to the purchase of speakers.

This is a great set of bookshelf speakers and work well for my medium sized living room. Just purchased them at my local BestBuy and have set them up. The sound is a good quality, tones are good and bass is perfect. I recommend them to someone who has a small to medium sized room and who wants to take advantage of an easy set up system.

Fantastic sound! Warm and Crystal clear

When I first hooked up these speakers I thought they sounded a little harsh with a thin vocal . However , this was totally my fault I had the treble set at +4. Once I turned it down to around 0 or neutral the warmth poured back into them I actually settled on +1 for treble +3 bass. These speakers have good strong bass for a 5.25 woofer however I did add a subwoofer and it did fill out the sound. After playing them for around 12 hours for a couple of days the cymbals and treble was very present but was sweet sounding not harsh at all. I have heard things with these speakers I have never heard before. They are crystal clear!!! most importantly warm as well once broken in. Even though these speakers are more efficient than most I have heard klipsch speakers like a strong receiver so don't buy a cheap disposable receiver and expect it to sound good. My best advice while testing at Best Buy remember you are in a huge store so bass is omnidirectional so it will sound weak also most important make sure you have the Best Buy sales person set the treble to around neutral not all the way up. Most places turn the bass and treble all the way up and forget about it and think that sounds best. With some speakers maybe not Klipsch. This has to be one of the best purchases I have ever made. I know they were not on sale but at $249.00 with this sound quality I would have probably paid more. If you find them on sale jump on them don't hesitate great purchase.

Clear highs, good bass for a small bookshelf speaker. They don't require a lot of power to impress. I was (pleasantly) surprised with the overall quality even though I had read quite a few positive reviews. I use them (2 pairs) with a Klipsch 12" sub. You can get better but you are going to pay a great deal more. I listened to other brands but I came back to Klipsch.

While probably overpriced, these speakers would be adequate for small room or low volume listening, where lots of base is not needed.

    Superb Speaker for the Money!

I talked a good friend of mine in to buying a set of these for his office about a year ago. Since then, he's been rockin' these babies non-stop! And I liked them so much, I bought a pair for my brother as a house-warming gift; which, I paired with his Klipsch sub-woofer. He couldn't be happier, as these things fill his (rather large) living room with rich, full sound. Depending on your configuration/application for these speakers, you may want to use them as stand-alones, paired with a sub-woofer (see above), or as part of a theater surround sound in your TV room. Either way, you'll be more than pleased in terms of the bang-for-the-buck with these speakers as they have crisp highs coupled with a solid & rich bottom end. Are there better speakers out there? Of course there are. However, in terms of affordability & performance, you won't find a better speaker in this size range that delivers such a strong return for your investment. Honestly, if the speaker says 'Klipsch' on it, you can't really go wrong. So, if you're in the market for a loud & responsive bookshelf speaker - look no further than these!

Garbage, blew my speakers while jamming to Metallica. Unless you use ALC (Automatic Level Control) these speakers are garbage. Ya, so I jam at nearly 1000 watts in my open concept living room, always have, always will! I need something that I can't break... Any suggestions?

I purchased these for my home theater after I found a soundbar was not compatible for my setup. I spent some time listening to other bookshelf speakers in the store--comparing one versus another, and I kept coming back to these. There is another level of warmth and crispness with these speakers that you will not find in a comparably-priced bookshelf speaker. After I took them home and connected them to my mid-level Denon AV receiver, I was amazed with how well they sounded. I have a smaller TV room, maybe 12 x 13 feet, and these sounded beautiful. I can't wait to take them through the paces with movies and other audio sources.

Just brought Klipsch R-15M and tested against my Yamaha NS-6490 3 way speakers. They did not sound better than the Yamaha NS-6490.So I recommend Yamaha NS-6490 speakers rather than these.Plan to return them tomorrow. My Yamaha NS-6490 sounded better than these speakers.

Love the sound that the speakers produce. I have them displayed without the front screens as I like the look of the copper details. I had larger size speakers that I wanted to replace case of size and this smaller footprint did the job perfect.
