Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the sound quality and design of the Reference Series 4" speakers, as well as their ease of use for at-height mounting and adequate bass. Some customers feel the speakers are somewhat pricey for what they offer. Others noted that a larger speaker might provide more effect and that the power may not be adequate for some users.

    Sorry but the speakers did not work for my system. I have a Denon AVR 3700 Dolby Atmos system. Could not hear volume coming out of these Atmos speakers when they were placed up front of my soundstage. I purchased another pair of klipsch speakers and they worked perfectly with my Denon av system. Make sure you have the right wattage speakers for your AV system.

    Nice but not great. They felt cheap. They would pair better with all Klipch system. Better have a lot of sound absorbing material with Klipsh I bought these at the sale price. I would not spin full price for these

    Not as noticeable effect during Dolby Atmos movies as I hoped for. Ceiling is flat and is ideal recommended height. A larger size speaker might provide mor effect

    Its hard to tell if you're actually hearing atmos sounds when using it as upward firing setup. May mount it on the wall as height speakers.

    I have these 100W shelf speakers combined with the two floor speakers, two bookshelf speakers, a subwoofer and a center speaker. All are Klipsch in the same Reference Series. These are not the premiere reference series. When testing this speaker, I did it in combination with the speakers I listed, as well as independently to see how it sounds alone. As a group, the speakers worked well together. The well balanced highs, mids and bass really sound great. The speakers each contain one 4” sub and a really strong 3/4” tweeter. There is no mid range speaker, but when you listen to the sound you can tell there really is not need for one. The tweeter more than compensates for the sub. At first glance, the speakers are very attractive. It has a nice black faux wood look, and matches the rest of the speakers. The grill looks great and does not hamper the performance. This is the 100W model, not to be confused with the the Premiere series equivalent. It is more than sufficient for my set up and really provides the surround sound I wanted to compliment the grouping of speakers. I plan on mounting these speakers to the wall facing inward from the from the corners of the room or that surround sound feel. I don’t feel I needed more, and after listening to everything I still feel I made a good choice. When I tried it by itself, I thought the sound was really well balanced. This was the last speakers I tried from the above group I mentioned and so I had minimal expectations based in the watts this one ran on. I figured they would be weaker, but I was incorrect and they sound really great. I thought the subs would really overpower the tweeter, but the tweeter is really strong and really puts out some power just like the others I tested out. I thinking these would be an overkill, but they hold their own with the other speakers and when I get them set up correctly I think they will give that feeling of sound coming in from the sides. Running this off a Onkyo receiver that has 4K compatible sound, I really like the results of the set up. Alone of grouped with the other speakers, this is a great set of speakers for the above average audiophile. For my man cave, I love the set up and now I can watch what I want or listen to what I want with extreme quality sound. I can turn up the volume as loud as I am comfortable doing, and they stay clear with no issues to note. I definitely recommend it someone that wants either a solid performing pair of speakers to compliment their total system. I don’t think I would use these by themselves, although one could. I feel they are meant to be used that way though. These things simply perform and you will love them, especially where they are priced. I really don’t think I need the Premiere model and based on the difference in price I am more than happy with the quality and value of these speakers for much less of a price. I think this will work well for my set up.

    Your Home Theater Starts Here

    The center channel speaker is the main component of any good home theater setup, and the one most people overlook. The R34C from Klipsch delivers amazing sound and tone quality that will draw you in to the action and dialogue on screen. The build quality is wonderful, it’s built like a tank, which Klipsch products are known for. It does have some heft and size, so make sure you have the proper room and clearances for this speaker if you are setting on a tv stand, etc. It can also be mounted to the wall with included wall hanging hardware, for those clean, flush on the wall installs. 400W/100W RMS of power means that you can drive this speaker hard and it will deliver. Sound is always crisp and clear. With four 3.5" graphite woofers and a 1” tweeter, along with dual rear firing bass ports, this speaker can reproduce sounds and tones that used to take multiple speakers. And with it’s 2 way speaker system, the sound moving across the front of you is much more fluid than other center channel speaker in my opinion and has a very wide soundscape, perfect for movies. You can leave the grill on the front for a more traditional look, or remove the grill and show off the copper injected molded cones that Klipsch is known for, for a more aggressive look. If you are starting your home theater and looking for a center channel, look no further than this one, you won’t be disappointed.

    Klipsch = Immersive Sound

    In creating my new home theater system, the Klipsch R-41SA Reference Series 4" 100-Watt Passive 2-Way Height Channel Speakers played an integral role. I really appreciated having the option on how I wanted to set these speakers up, depending on the configuration that best suited my purposes. These Klipsch speakers feature Dolby Atmos “surround sound technology” which immerses you in an incredible 3-dimensional listening environment. You can literally hear the sound effects bouncing off the walls and ceiling just as if they were really happening all around you. My experience with other components in this Reference Series, has been nothing but positive. The Klipsch brand is one I have become very impressed with and can most assuredly recommend. Whatever size room you set these Klipsch channel speakers in, big or small, the powerful, lifelike sounds they render, will blow you away.

    These Dolby Atmos speakers are great! They're extremely well constructed. They look sleek and would fit in with any home theater system. The immersion that they produce is phenomenal! At first, I thought they were too quiet but after some adjustments in the settings of my receiver (Onkyo 757), they are amazing. Watching movies with these are amazing. It feels like you are in a theater. If you are able to watch films that support Dolby Atmos, then these will come alive! The sound is clear. Listening to music really fills the entire room and immerses you with the addition of another dimension of sound! The only caveat is the speakers are not always on based on how the film was recorded. This is not the speaker's fault but the people who made the audio. I really can't speak enough about this product!

    the good: -excellent clarity and overall sound quality -sound fires diagonally upward when placed on top of your front mains, and is designed to easily add atmos heights to a system without actually placing speakers in the ceiling. while not exactly the same effect as in-ceiling speakers, still a relatively good approximation in my opinion. -compact and stylistically simple design -can also be used as wall mounted surrounds -solid build quality the bad: -nothing really. price might be a tad on the high side at $300 msrp. overall: there may not be a huge market for these types of speakers in my opinion, but never the less they are definitely high quality and will fit the bill nicely if you need something like these in your setup. typical of this reference II series, very nice mids and fantastic highs.

    These atmos do a good job at bouncing the sound off the ceiling for the atmos effect. Only issue is at higher volumes tge sound becomes very distorted in the highs.
