I bought this to view some really old slides that I found. It works just fine - but nothing fancy. It seemed a little expensive but it is what I needed.

cardboard transparency frames don't work

This item appears to be designed for plastic 35mm slide frames. 35 mm transparencies in cardboard frames have either too much friction or too little weight to drop into the slide slide output tray. Works fine with plastic slide frames.
