Q: Can this be powered with a plug in transformer or are batteries the only option?
A: Looks like batteries are the only option for powering this..i saw no inputs on it..just a port for a USB cable to charge batteries

A: Yes. I tried a different "slide sorter" that had a light behind the screen where the slides were placed, but the picture did not increase in size.
