If you expect anything close to the Peter Jackson's Kong you won't like this movie at all. The writing is bad but John C Reilly has some funny lines and is about the only good part of the movie.

This is a big, dumb monster movie. And it's fine if you know what you're getting into. It's just a setup for the forthcoming Godzilla v Kong.

Disapointing movie.I didn't expect much but and that is what I got. Save your $$$ and wait for it to come to netflix or if you feel you must see it now Red box it.

By far my least favorite King Kong film. The camera keeps zooming in on people's faces and its gets quite annoying. Skip this and see Peter Jackson's King Kong.

This movie was fair. It had its high moments, but did not keep me riveted throughout the whole movie. I was not overwhelmed with Samuel Jacksons performance.

This film fails on many levels. Poor writing leads to misguided directing and acting. The flaws are noticeable and annoying. But Kong looks amazing.

This movie is a bit slow paced and easy to lose interest in. If you enjoy King Kong movies then the Peter Jackson movie is far more fun.

I was half expecting Godzilla to show up any minute. Not a particularly interesting story. Phony creatures. Watch the original Kong instead.

This movie moves extremely slow and is too long. The story line is ridiculous.The special effects and CGI are very well done.

this movie is entertaining but everything just seemed overly campy despite it being a king Kong movie

What a waste of time. First off, there's absolutely no need for ANOTHER King Kong reboot. Apparently they want to tie it in with the umpteenth Godzilla reboot from a couple years ago. While Godzilla was quite good, Kong Skull Island was boring & lame. Secondly, this Kong was over an hour shorter than King Kong (2005), but seemed to take forever to end.

Not that great of a movie. The movie trails were made purchase that movie. Trials were much better!

Visually speaking, this film looks great but the dialogue, story and acting have a B Movie quality.

I guess you should expect a King Kong Movie to be somewhat cheezy and unrealistic LOL
