This movie definitely exceeded my expectations! I've seen plenty of Kong's before but for me this was the best. The focus of the movie was Kong in all of his splendor. A Must See and if you can get the Best Buy 4K Steelbook, even better.

The 4k picture quality is gorgeous but I was a little more impressed with the soundscape! The steel book packaging is very attractive and I LOVED being able to get bot the 3D and the 4K in on set, I wish all releases provided this option!

This movie on Blue Ray is easier to watch than it was at the theater. You have the control in your hands to use closed captioning, rewind, and fast forward, to watch it in the way you want to. That's always better than at the theater.

If you like non stop action and lots of special effects, then this is your movie. The evolution of Kong from the early days of Fay Wray to now is nothing short of amazing. Kong was believable and one BAD monkey. To add icing to the cake, Samuel L. Jackson does what he does best.

hi, I am glad I got this particular Steelbook, has all 3 formats, 4K, 3D and regular Blu Ray. yeah, a little pricey, but I am very happy with it. I even had to drive 92 miles to New Hampshire to get it lol. I am retired, so it was good

I don't think they could have done a better job rebooting Kong as they did. It caught me by surprise here or there, and I'm excited to see how this ties further into Monarch and Godzilla!! 10/10 would watch again. And again. And again.

This is a great movie for anybody that enjoys blockbuster movies and King Kong of course. I’m a big fan of 3D and this movie delivers. I always purchase the 3D version if it’s an option. The 3D just ramps up the fun to another level.

This version breathes new life into a story that has captivated viewers for close to a century, and does it justice. New characters, new monsters, a revamped story line all add up to a thrilling ride for the viewer. Highly recommended.

Did not see this in theater when it came out but was hounded by my son to watch it, so rented it. Really enjoyed it and wished I had seen it on the big screen. Great movie with lots of action and special effects......and monsters!

This is a good movie to have in the ever growing movie collection ... An enjoyable movie to own to see when you need a good movie fix!! Here's to continuing growing movie collections and finding larger movie shelves! Keep on watching!

This movie definitely did not disappoint! Lots of action, well acted, interesting plot development. I highly recommend this one to fans of the genre. Also, have the patience to wait for the end of credits scene. It was worth the wait.

This is actually more of a horror movie than a giant monster movie. There is a surprising amount of gore and gruesome death. Plus, it helps set up the showdown with other kaiju in years to come. And it's about a GIANT GORILLA. :D

This was good but it could of been much better, some of the writing in the first half was horrible and clunky. Dan Gilroy is an amazing writer (Nightcrawler) but the other 2 writers credited on this film have never written anything of quality and it shows. Having worked in Hollywood for the past 20 years I assume Gilroy turned in a solid script and then a few film execs wanting to justify their job tinkered with it. It's worth a view or two but not as good as Godzilla (which wasn't great but had much better pacing and writing) which they are linking this film to in the new Majestic Universe and nowhere near as good a job as Peter Jackson's King Kong from last decade. Nice job by John C. Reilly and Sam Jackson had a fun and interesting off kilter renegade performance.

I still love the Peter Jackson version way better but I understand where there going with this version. It's pretty much a setup to the monster universe with Godzilla. If your seeing it for a good story, not this one. If you just want to see a good monster movie this is for you.

I watched this movie 3 times the 1st week of purchase. !st was the 4k version with dtsX. then watched it in 3D still good. I bought a new pair of 3D glasses and had to watch it again with my wife. the 3rd time was the best I don't know if it was the new glasses but it was great.

I love the case, and the Oldfield the movie has. I like the monster fights. I can't wait to see King Kong versus Godzilla. My favorite scene from the movie was the opening scene where the pilot gets in a dog fight and gets shot down.

I purchased a Sony 4K DVD player also bought the King Kong movie make sure that you have the 4K DVD player before purchasing the King Kong movie it shows so much clearer and better that you will be truly satisfied with your purchase

Bought the film to catch my family up for Godzilla vs Kong. I forgot how good it was. And finally a monster film where the main characters aren’t annoying as hell.

I can't really say this is the best Kong movie I've seen. It was though full of action and Kong and the other creatures were exceptionally realistic. It would have been better (in my opinion) if it had a better storyline and better cast development. Special effects were great.

Kong: Skull Island is a fantastic return to the classic feel of Kong, with a team of unsuspecting explorers encountering an island of horrors, and wondering whether the king of them all is friend or foe. The Blu-ray looks and sounds fantastic, and the 3D is really fun. Enjoy!
