This is an awesome, entertaining action movie. Definitely worth a purchase if you have a sound system and a 4K or HD TV. This movie has a superb transfer on disc. Highly recommended based on replay value.

I thought it was very good Kong looks in credible just enormous and you see him a lot in this movie not like Godzilla where you only see him for 10 minutes pretty cool twist on the story hopefully there will be more

This latest iteration of King Kong puts an interesting twist into the story. In my opinion, all ends well, but you might not agree after seeing it. The special effects are fantastic. Definitely glad I purchased it.

Not what I expected, but was thoroughly entertained. Much more violent than what I was thinking I was getting, and I think I liked it better this way. Forgot this movie even came out until I saw it for sale at Best Buy, now I regret not seeing it sooner!

This a great re-telling of King Kong, and Samuel Jackson puts his stamp on it. My pre-teens handled the action well, but I still hate the amount of profanity the motion picture industry says is fine for early teens.

Seems hard to find 3D movies to stream so I decided to invest in stocking up on some that my family likes. Fun Movie. The more CGI used the better the 3D result I have found.

This was waaaaay better than the last reboot attempt by Peter Jackson. This will also build to the big showdown with Godzilla and the crew. John C. Reily stole the show, and gave the film a little levity to keep things from getting way to serious. Thumbs up!

For once there's no big skyscraper climb with the damsel in distress. The whole thing has a bit more of a Lost World Jurassic Park vibe to it; soldiers on an island full of monsters. The film was good, and the post-credit scene is like icing on the cake.

I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Quite different form the other Kong Movies, but it's refreshing not to see the same story retold over and over again. Different concept, edge of the seat action. Matter of a fact I'm getting ready to watch it again right now.

Overall, this is a good movie and I will watch it again. The characters were well-developed and interesting. The protagonist appeared too likeable in that he was protecting humans and not just protecting his territory. Therefore, the plot seemed a bit loose.

Did not have much hope for this movie but was complete surprised on how good it turned out. It is a very good movie and another one of those that can be watched over and over.

We really enjoyed this movie.Loved the fact that Kong actually lived in this plot. The movie had great realism and very realistic CGI scenes. I recommend it, but don't expect the same storyline as the former movie.

This Bestbuy exclusive is the best way to purchase this movie if you are a 3D fan and also have 4K capability. The 3D version rocks and the 4k version is awsome. To me, this is the best option to obtain this movie!

Do not try to critically review these type of films; save your brain and emotions for serious film content, if you can find it these days. It does what it does: visual detail and cinematography, sound, entertainment, that's it. Enjoy it for what it is.

Every studio is rushing to make their own expanded universe, and WB's MonsterVerse is no exception. After a decent Godzilla reboot in 2014, Kong: Skull Island drops. It's strengths are the strong ensemble cast (Sam Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly and Shea Whigham populate the screen together) and the very good looking sets/design of the island. Howver, the plot is a bit boring, the pacing drags, and there's surprisingly few large action sequences. As a 4K disc, it looks good - nice, vibrant colors and minimal blurring. You could do much worse than this UHD to showcase your high end t.v.

The picture quality on my 4K Blu-ray and New OLED tv is phenomenal! The movie itself is actually pretty good , much better than expected. Spoiler, watch it till the very end! Looks like there is more to come !

When you watch the movie - make sure you watch through until after the credits.There is a reveal which set up the film putting it into a film series. I did not know this going into the film. I thought the film was OK. Lots of digital effects. The locations used were exotic and worth noticing. I thought the Peter Jackson film was OK too. Neither film 'rocked' for me. Skull Island is a nice summer blow things up kind of film. If you are into that,which "I am ... it's an OK story with a couple big name actors in it. The film has sequences which utilized 3D. Sorry to say Best Buy advertised the film available in stores yet they did not stock them in the SF Bay Area. I would loved to have seen it in 3D.

This King Kong movie is better then all the recent Kong movies. Special effects are awesome. The story line is very interesting and most of all, it's not super long like its predecessors. Very entertaining flick!

The second installment in the "MosterVerse" Series is a nice blend of Drama, Suspense, Action, and Wise Cracks every couple of minutes. I recommend this flick 100%.

This movie was amazing from the beginning to the ending climax, with beautiful visuals and cinematography, and some of the best color palette, this movie was truly amazing and you actually see a good fight between Kong and other monsters in skull island.
