Skull mountain is action packed movie from start to finish. If you followed the 2 previous Planet of The Ape movies, you certainly will enjoy this follow-up. Absolutely makes for a great gift or purchase.

I recently bought a 4k Tv and player set up and I've been buying movies that show off the format. This movie was absolutely necessary! After seeing it in 4K it was totally worth the purchase on sale.

Great movie due to a good movie plot and great acting. The movie kept you on the edge of your seat and was a great love moveie between the beauty and the beast. There is a lot of action at the same time.

It was a nice change to the same old story, which I appreciated. CG is excellent and the movie does not have any slow spots so if your looking for a action movie with great characters and computer animation this is the ticket. Looks great of 4K!

Great fun reboot of the classic giant ape story. Nice to have the 4K and Blu-Ray all together in a beautiful steelbook. I'm sure the steel is long sold out, but still recommend the movie as it's a blast.

Bought the 4K HDR disc and the visuals and sound were both great. The movie was a pretty good and I would recommend watching. However the real treat is viewing in 4K. You would never think for a second Kong or the other creatures were not real!

A great cast and witty script elevates this one above its peers and outshines Peter Jackson's bloated 2005 opus. And it's one of those rare films that actually holds up with repeated viewings.

The action was great, special effects were awesome and the story line was outta this world. If you want to see a great movie then this is the one to see. Since purchase we've watched it twice.

Not only did I purchase this movie but I also had saw it when it premiered at the theater. Really enjoyed it. Movie gave more backstory on Kong, adding information about his parents. Don't want to give too much away. Loved the special effects.

A different take on the Kong legend. Fully succeeds on its own w/ both glaring differences from the others and a few familiar type scenes a la Peter Jackson. Great visuals w/ a Viet Nam twist. Several bits of clunky dialogue merit four stars.

I liked this movie and wondered how they would tie it in to Godzilla and Pacific Rim as the rumors suggest. If you liked those two series you might want to get this film then because if the rumors are true this is a new universe people!!!

I have always liked King Kong movies. Some have not been great as most have been old. Now this one knocked it out of the park. This movie was amazing and I am definitely going to watch it over and over

Really enjoyed this movie, nice mesh of war action and giant creature mayhem. And cannot say enough about benefits of online ordering, just place order and forget. Not to mention the fact that I get the movie a day before you can get in store.

Kong, skull island is an action packed welcome addition to the kong movies.the cast, especially Samuel l. Jackson, hamming it up were perfect. This movie really delivered. I can't wait for the sequel!

Thought it was gonna be another cheezy reboot, however it had a sense of direction that lent itself towards a start of something really good. Hope the next installment takes monsters like Kong to greater heights, like VS the king in Godzilla.

This movie was made to showcase HDR. Nice visuals. The action is constant. Much better pacing than the Jack Black starring Kong movie from years ago. It's a nice beginning to the whole "Monsterverse."

I have always been a fan of King Kong movies. This movie did not disappoint. I liked the Vietnam war era and the great story line. Watch until after the credits roll for a nice little hidden surprise.

The movie's sound track is fantastic and exciting. I really enjoy feeling the low end spectrum of a movie through my 7.1.2 setup. My 2x 12' subwoofers really rumbled during any scene featuring any of the prehistoric monsters of skull island.

WOW! The graphics and special effects really shine in 4K! It's like the creatures are right in front of you! As a family, we enjoyed watching this movie since it was action-packed and entertaining!
