Great price on a movie I needed to get a 4K copy of. Sad that there isn’t a digital copy, but that’s not Best Buy’s fault.

I'll have to admit first of all that a lot of my interest in seeing this movie was due to the fact that it's set in the same universe of Legendary's 2014 Godzilla movie (which goes under the title of the MonsterVerse), so I was curious as to what sort of nods to that would appear. But, I was actually surprised at just how much I enjoyed the movie, considering that, while I don't necessarily mind the character of King Kong, I was never one to seek out material related to him (again, lifelong Godzilla fan). And certain elements of this movie seemed to be a response to the criticisms of Legendary's previous film (mostly a more frequent appearance of the title monster). I think the best way to describe this would be to say that it's a Vietnam-era war movie, crossed with a giant monster movie. It's got a little bit of everything; lots of action, frequent moments of suspense, and a lot of intrigue that makes you wonder just what's going on in this universe. There's also plenty of nods to older King Kong movies that should get a smile out of fans. And without spoiling anything, I will say to make sure you do not turn off the movie once the credits roll, as the scene afterwards will get you primed for what's to come. If you're a fan of giant monster movies, you'll probably dig this one, too.

Not a deep story and it doesn't need to be. The movie is fun. Enough to warrant a buy. Plus the steelbook itself is very nice.

I purchased this movie after friends told me how good it was. I did like the movie. Great special effects and great sound.

This sequel to King Kong is spectacular!! The set pieces are amazing and the characters are very interesting. A must buy!!

Had to take the kids to the theatre to see this and when it came out we had to add it to our collection. It’s a awesome movie..

Instead of a remake this film takes elements from the original and goes in a new direction. Visually solid with good audio.

Cool movie – definitely not one you can watch again and again and again, but it’s fun to re-watch with a little time in between. Awesome image quality

'Kong: Skull Island' is big, loud, and fun, so watching it at LEAST in Blu-ray is necessary. Pop it in, sit back, turn your speakers up, and enjoy.

skull island approaches the story of king kong from a different angle some see him as a threat others as a allay, entertaining but not for children.

My seven year old begged me to get this and I’m so glad we did! Great story and performances. Can’t wait for the next one!

The movie was very good. It was a nice story telling was the original movie. The special features were good as well.

This is one of my favorite movies, there’s a lot of action it is a pretty good movie in a long time picture upstanding.

My family really likes this movie and enjoyed the 3D version of it. Plenty of monster action for me and the boys.

Wasn't to into the king kong movie universe after the last movie, but this one is well worth the price. Nice and clear picture and audio is on point.

I like the movie some people told me they didn't but I liked it poor Samuel L Jackson is always getting killed by some kind of creature LOL
