I do in home consulting for areas like atherton, Palo Alto, and emerald hills in the Bay Area. I wanted an easy way to share the key with my house keeper etc. I like the ease of use and the ability to track who comes and goes.

The listing is deceptive. Second Generation is improved and easier to install. Moreover, to access this via Internet (i.e. From away from your lock), you need to purchase the Kevo PLUS unit about 100 bucks and seems only available from Kevo itself. I prefer my August Smart lock to this. Easier to install and integrates with my Next and can be accessed remotely.

However, there is no android support for anything but stock android phones at the time of this review, and the point was to avoid having to carry a fob. Mentions on the packaging that it works with any Bluetooth 4,0 LE device, but the app will not install on most phones. Even side-loading the app did not produce adequate results. Recommend that (if you are an Android or Windows Phone user) you stay away from this until such time as their dev team decides to play nice with Samsung and other manufacturers.

Also if you accidentally bump the lock on your way out the door it will lock at times unintentional. You think they could figure out if the door was open or closed first.

The real thing I see missing from this product VS other products is ability to lock and unlock door remotely. Also you have no control over the key fobs activating and deactivating from your smart phone. I also find my self sometime hitting the lock when exiting the house and locking the door when I do want to, or having the lock, being locked preventing the door from closing. Very sensitive to touch.

Fitting it into the door was no problem at all, the problem was the installation instructions included with the lock left much to be desired. I resorted to YouTube and it was easy. I would definitely recommend this product, just don't bother with the written instructions.
