Cool lock, definately gets the job done. The only thing I have against it is that you do have to calibrate your phone to the lock a few times because depending on where you have your phone, whether it is in your purse or pocket(Front or back) it does make a difference as to how long it takes for the lock to unlock. UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE!!!!! This make a HUGE difference as to how fast your lock works and responds to both the phone and fobs. Told a friend that I got this, I showed it to him and on his way back home, he bought one for himself. MUST BUY!

Electronic lock works well but please make sure that your phone works with it.

This lock works as described. You can have phone or fob anywhere near lock as long as it is inside door and it will not cause accidental unlock. I tried it. I have not had any trouble yet. I am very happy with lock. I would recommend

This lock is the worst I have ever had. It works great with my wife's iPhone, but my daughter and I have android Samsung phones and THERE IS NO APP FOR ANDROID. There is a beta version for 2 NEXUS PHONES. Most other android phones ARE NOT NEXUS. The key fob that came with the lock stopped working 2 days after installation. Replacement fob or extra fobs do not work either. The installation videos don't help either. We followed all of the steps, and still nothing. My house now has a really expensive lock with the same old manual key. My wife is the only person who can use bluetooth. I carry an iPad to work, and I can't even use it to get in the house! The iPad doesn't even have an app! I will never get this lock again! DON'T GET THIS LOCK! I am stuck with a worthless lock! The point of this was so my daughter could walk home and get in the house without fumbling for a key with her arms full of books. WELL THAT WAS A HUGE FAIL!

I originally bought the yale but returned it for the quickset evo and it would be perfect if it supports all android phones and had included wifi support fir web based access but can get app working on most android phones with a little tweaking but atleast ekey works n fob works well abd can add more

So, I knew that I wanted to get a smart lock. I am really glad that I ended up getting this one... It took me MAYBE 10 minutes to install. The instructions were extremely straightforward. First off, the SmartKey function is super easy. It takes literally 15 seconds to change the lock from the keys that are included to the current set of Kwikset keys you are already using. That was awesome- saved me a trip from the locksmith or having to carry around two set of keys. Then, I just had to set up the lock from my phone. 20 seconds later, I'm done. Super easy to follow guide on your phone's screen, super easy "calibration" settings... The calibration is so that the lock knows whether you are outside or inside. A random person can't just touch the lock and have it open when your phone is sitting close to the door- that is a feature that really sets my mind at ease... and it was a big selling point on this lock. Essentially, that is the entire install. The included fob is already set up, great for someone who doesn't have an iPhone or iPod touch. After all of this, I sat down on the couch and invited my friends and family to my lock. They already had keys to our home, but half of the time would forget them... or lose them. Now I know who comes over and WHEN! We are going out of town next week. A friend is bringing in our mail/packages... I'll know if and when he does... PEACE OF MIND! Another pro of the Kevo- We have been thinking of renting out one of guest rooms on AirBNB... invite someone to the lock for the weekend, remove access when they leave... EASY AS PIE. Now you don't have to worry about them keeping or losing the key... One thing I wanted to change was that it beeped when the door locked/unlocked. After 30 seconds of inspecting the lock, there is a switch that disables it. I can't wait for Google/Android to finally support Bluetooth 4.0 Some of my friends do not have iPhones. When Google finally supports Bluetooth 4.0, this lock will be perfect.... until then, I will just buy an extra fob or two. Great lock. Buy it, you won't regret it...

I bought this before Best Buy carried it but if they had it I would have got it there. Its incredibly easy to use and set up. You can rekey it so you don't have to change your current key which is great. It's so convenient when your hands are full of groceries or a toddler and you can't fish your keys out. Tap of the hand or elbow if the hands are busy and in just a second your door is ready to open. Everyone should move to one of these, the people really into tech or even the people who forget their keys.

Remembering that this is "technology", it may sometime take a bit more effort to get to a point of here it is fine tuned, but have I been very pleased with the convenience it offers. Easey to install and quick to learn.

I did not install the lock myself so the review is strictly based on use of the lock and app. This is a pretty easy to use bluetooth lock that makes it easy to manage "keys" for access. Keys can be assigned to individuals permanently or for designated periods of time only. You must have a smartphone capable of using the Kevo app in order to use the virtual key feature but if you do it works pretty well. Using the app to send virtual ekeys is also pretty straightforward but verification emails may go to a users junk email. If you need to give out a lot of ekeys it can start to add up as each ekey is $1.99. You can also upgrade to Kevo Plus for an additional fee to have more app features.

Well, I've owned the lock for about 5 hours now and I've come to the conclusion that is it overpriced GARBAGE. Installing the lock was the easy part, getting it to work... impossible. First, the lock simply refused to calibrate with the fob (I don't have an iPhone and planned on using it with the fob exclusively). Try after try after try, calibration failed. I called tech support and got walked through step-by-step the same process I'd been following for the previous half hour. Same result, calibration failed... until I held the fob 2 inches from the lock. Then it worked... that one time. After that, the lock wouldn't work AT ALL. Called tech support for the second time and after resetting the lock, we got it to at least lock and unlock by touch. When we tried to calibrate... same result: failed. The tech finally gave up and said he didn't know what the problem was "must be your environment" he said. My environment... standing in front of the front door to my house on a sunny July day. Read the other review from others who've made the mistake of purchasing this piece of junk and had the same experience. IT DOESN'T WORK. IT'S A PIECE OF $#!*. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

I bought this products about 3 months after I moved into my new house. The product worked great for about 3 or 4 months, then I began noticing that it wouldn't work unless I took the fob out of my pocket. Then after a few more weeks I would have to take the fob out of my pocket, then try multiple times before it would unlock, now you have to have the fob on the lock to even get it to unlock. What's the point if I have to take my keys out of my pocket and hold it there to unlock the door? It would be quicker to simply use a key. I love products that help make life simple, and have a lot of home automation products and what not. I thought this would be something that would make things easier...it hasn't.... As of 2 days ago my fob doesn't even work at all. And in doing so I actually got locked out of my house for 3 hrs... I trusted that the fob would work, and didn't feel the need to carry a spare key...however, now I simply have a key and don't even use the fob. My wife and I thought that this would allow us to quickly enter/exit the house, especially with our hands full. It does the opposite...it now takes us significantly more time to get into the house. It was extremely cool for 2 months, then when it became a hassle it made me want to switch back to something that I could actually depend on.

I bought this lock so my kid could get in the house after school without needing to carry a key. I dont have to worry about him loosing a hard key and I can grant any one access any time I want from anywhere. Great system. Love it!!!!

This has become very handy when carrying groceries or other items into the house. No need to fumble for your keys when your hands are full, very easy to use.

Once installed this door lock is the best I ever had. Makes keeping control of your house in your hands at all time and easy but safe acces as well

That first couple weeks, the lock works properly. But after that, the lock has to be calibrated every day, otherwise it will stuck in the door.

Avoid at all costs. I had this professionally installed and it is just about useless. 1. The door LOCKS on its own without my using the software - so yes you can get locked out unless you have your phone with you. 2. You have to be right on top of the door to lock it which means you can do it easier and faster with your own hands. Uses bluetooth so you have to be 35 feet or less (usually WAY LESS) in order for the software to find the lock. 3. Typically can't find lock the first time and requires at last two attempts 4. The software is simply garbage. DO NOT BUY or if you do, it is at your own risk.

My husband was so excited to purchase and install this lock. Then we discover, it only works well with iPhone, which he has, but no one else does. Expensive toy for one app. Don't waste your money!!

I have been adding household smart devices over the years with sonos, nest thermostat and I thought this would be a good addition. Install was easy and product quality was great. Problem was even after multiple attempts at calibration I finally got it but phone had to be placed directly in front of lock to unlock. Seemed like it forgot over time and had to recalibrate. Frustrating user experience, returned for some Nest Protects.

I was excited to get this item, I bought 3 kevo deadbolts, front back and garge entry doors. we use the garage entry the most, but have experienced the same inconsistent and frustrating lack of responsiveness from all 3 locks. I even bought the kevo gateway, to connect the locks to the app over wifi. long story short we have to pull our phones out of our pockets and open the app, tap the unlock button (hoping it reads the lock as "locked" so that we don't have to wait even longer to register the lock from "unlocked" to "locked" to then unlock it). one day last week the lock worked flawlessly, one touch, the LED's lit up, and every time the lock unlocked, no red LED's. We had hope it was working as described. the next day, back to pulling out our phones, might as well be pulling out our key, it would be faster. I have read a review of the newly released 2.0 version of the lock, just now available on Best Buy.com. here's to hoping I can return the original under the geek squad protection plan, and that the new version works as well as reviewers say, the way the original was advertised to work.

This is truly a revolutionary product. I never carry my keys anymore!!
