    Pricy, but a great lock! I got one about a month ago and I use it with my Xfinity Home Security System and it paired right up with no problems! I love being able to lock or unlock it from the Xfinity Security Touchscreen or PC App or Android App! I got the brushed nickel version and it looks great too! No more keys! Yaye! The number touchpad on the lock itself works great too! I used a Kwikset Juno Hall/Closet Knob in Satin Nickel for the lower passage knob and the upper of course is this keyless deadbolt for my rear entry door! They both look very nice together! This lockset was very easy to install and the directions were good! I just wish they were less expensive! If they were, I'd buy more right away! But overall, 5 Stars for sure!

    I have XFinity Home Security and the only place to purchase the Kwikset 914 Zigbee door lock is Best Buy. I am very clear as I work for Comcast and we train employees and refer customers. I went to the Nashua NH location on DW Hwy and they do not carry them in store so I placed the order. I got the lock and tried to pair it to the system. After calling Comcast and having a tech out we came to the conclusion it must be a bad device. I went to Best Buy again to order another. When it came in I tried installing that one. Same issues. Now I call Kwikset and on the phone with them for about an hour. The gentleman there says he will ship me one to replace the Best Buy one. They are the exact same model. The one from Kwikset paired in 5 mins! Now I have to pay to ship the old one from Best Buy back to Kwikset. Something's not right here. How can I refer my customers, family and friends to Best Buy for a product that should work with a services I sold them and work for? I cannot at this time.

    No longer supported by Xfinity Home Automation

    Earlier this year, Xfinity Home stopped supporting automation rules with this lock (and perhaps all smart locks?), with no notice to owners. This information was confirmed to me today (6/30/19) by Xfinity Home advanced technical support. Specifically, Xfinity removed the ability to create any rules utilizing this lock from the Xfinity Home app. For example, automatically locking the deadbolt when the alarm is armed, or disarming the alarm when the deadbolt is unlocked with its keycode. The only functionality remaining is to manually lock/unlock the deadbolt in the Xfinity Home app, and view deadbolt activity. I recommend against purchasing this lock (or any Xfinity compatible smart lock) unless Xfinity resumes automation support.

    Installed to go with Comcast XFINITY Home automation/security. Works wonderfully with web and mobile device applications from Comcast. Hardware installation and pairing with home security device was a breeze. I was replacing an existing deadbolt, so only took maybe ten minutes in total to install. I like the keypad deadbolts (as opposed to other home automation options that replace the inside portion of existing deadbolts) because of the options they provide: don't need to pull out mobile device to unlock door, can create multiple keycodes and limit their ability to unlock to certain hours through home automation application, etc. Last, the hardware of the kwikset is a smaller profile than other similar offerings. A lot of these have large and - let's be honest - ugly cases. I wouldn't call this one a work of art, but among the prettier of an ugly bunch.

    This review is more about Kwikset customer service then the lock itself. This unit was received broken. The technician troubleshot and deemed the issue to be mechanical. He said he was sending a replacement. 19 days and 4 calls later, they are still trying to track down the lock. I was told not to take the lock back when it was out of the box non functioning and now they give me the option to take it back to the store, after 19 days. The other times I called and waited in the hold queue for at least 15 minutes, I was told they were expediting the replacement, the same replacement that has not gone out until now.This is the worst customer service I have ever had, hands down. If I did not hear good things about the lock, I would've cut my losses already

    Installed this lock on an existing door. The instructions were clear and there were no surprises during the install. Had to make minor modifications to the deadbolt hole in the door frame to accommodate the new deadbolt, but that's to be expected. Took about an hour. Everything fit and worked as advertised. The external components look like they'll stand up to the elements for a long time - I guess time will tell. My favorite part of the product / installation: the ability to re-key the lock with no special skills or tools (or a trip to the hardware store). New lock, same keys as before. Awesome. We're not using the remote control capabilities of this lock yet, so I can't comment on the setup or operation of those bits.

    Locks works exactly as described. I have only 2 issues. The lock must be activated within feet of the smart hub to work. So before you install on the door, activate close to the hub, then install. The other issue is the auto-lock feature, which I use and have active. But there are times I would like to turn it off (parties with people coming and going) and the only way to do that is to allen wench off the interior cover to flip a switch. Why could that not be de-activatable from your phone? But looks good and is very convenient to never need a house key.

    We are very pleased with the Kwikset smart code 914 touchpad with ZigBee. It was easy to make the connection with our smartphones and we can now look and see if out door is locked or unlocked no matter where we are. The phone app also allows us to lock and unlock it with our smartphones. Very nice feature when you pull into your driveway with a load of groceries, etc., and you can unlock the door before you get out of your car. If the batteries lasted a bit longer, I would give 5 starts....but well worth the purchase.

    First lock mechanically defective. Took over a week to receive new lock after talking with customer support. Support was helpful and friendly. The motorized lock seems and sounds a little cheap when actuated. Batteries that came with it died after 1 week. Hope they were old and that this thing does not eat batteries-4AA's. Should be very well constructed for this price, so value is in question. No problems with joining it to the Xfinity Security system however. Time will tell on the quality...

    Yes, that's right this is an easy lock to install. Then I linked it up to my Comcast security and now when my roommate or daughter forgets to lock the door, I call them up and say HEY! GO LOCK THE DOOR! I love that when I need someone to come by and do some work I can just give them a code and BAMM they are in and working! I can change the number and I am so very happy! I also love that I can take walks and not worry about my keys because I have a code. I am a happy camper!

    I've had keypad kwikset assemblies on my doors for years now and love them. I recently installed Comcast security system this past year and wanted to be able to control and monitor the doors on that platform and through the mobile app. It works wonderfully! I can check to make sure the doors are locked and set "rules" for them to lock at night or when the security system is armed. A little pricey but well worth the money in my opinion!

    This was not one of our better ideas. This lock is not worth the money. It only works when it wants too. The lock will just make a grinding noise as if it is working, and then nothing happens. Originally only the numerical key pad worked and the lock button didn’t, now none of it works properly. This was a waste of money.

    It seems to jam very often but unsure if due to faulty alignment and installation. Also I'm not happy about integration with XFINITY Home in that I cannot control passcodes through xfinity automation app but I still have to handle manually through the device. (though It said it works with some security systems but unfortunately I didn't realize XFINITY did not offer that feature.

    Doesnt have needed parts, wont connect to phone

    The Geek Squad tried to install but the bolt wouldnt operate properly. Turned out that if the edge of your door isnt chiseled out, you need a different piece that isnt included. There is no clue to this until you have already opened it and try to install. So after paying over $200 each, I don't get the parts i need for a very ordinary door. SURPRISE!

    The lock was easy to install and did not require any extra drilling to replace our original deadbolt. It is simple to use and easy to set up your passcode. It has an auto lock feature that we had to turn off because the timer is not adjustable. 30 seconds is not long enough to get 2 adults and 3 children out the door before it auto locks. Would have rated higher if not for that.

    After a lot of research I learned that Kwikset - Smartcode 914 Touchpad Deadbolt with ZigBee would work with the Spectrum (Brighthouse) security alarm system. So far I really like it! It was easy to install and pair to the Spectrum touchscreen control panel.

    Finally installed it today after buying it a few weeks ago. I procrastinated because I thought it would be complicated. But, I just watched a few YouTube videos and it was installed in no time. Had a little problem pairing it with my alarm system, but they transfered me directly to Kwikset and it was paired up quickly. I would recommend this.

    My Xfinity consultant recommended this to me after seeing that I was changing out the locks in my home. I was pleasantly surprised by its compact size and it pretty easy to install. Read the directions and installed it. It has been on my door for 2 days and have had no issues. I'll see how it works tied into my security systems.

    Bought to go with Xfinity Home and it works well with this system. Only one I have found that actually pairs and shows up on their touch screen. Others like August only work with the App. Fairly easy to set up. Has been working fine for six months.

    The package says it requires no special tools. True. The package says it can be installed in a handful of minutes. Well, not my experience. But, that said, it wasn't just horrible. I'd figure maybe 20 minutes if you read instructions. The package says I'll be very satisfied. True. I definitely am!
