WOW, WOW, WOW, WOW
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. Its been out 16 days, and I have played my way through it twice. Yes, I am currently unemployed like a whole lot of people. 2nd time I played it through I only played the major part of the game, without doing any side missions at all. My boyfriend had seen me play it a couple times my first time through, and was very interested in what was going on. So I played it through the 2nd time so that he could just watch. Any he really really enjoyed it. And I'm talking about someone who hates video games. It has a great story, the graphics are fantastic, and it is full of surprises that will have you very confused. This is a good thing in gaming. Just watch for the best place to buy it. Trading in old games is a great thing to do with games you don't play anymore. Someone is currently offering a great special on trade ins. You get a bonus $10 credit for every 3 games you trade in. So if you got 3 games you not playing, you might be able to get the game for $30, or $40. I traded in a bunch of games in and ended up with almost $300.00 in store credit. AWESOME DEAL!!!!!!!!!

Its an Awesome Game But its not Call of Duty lol
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought This game about two weeks ago and believe me when i tell you its an awesome game. This game will have you feeling like a police officer, After this game i respect the police lol. Lets Get to the point This game takes place the West Side also known as California. You will play a police officer in the LAPD and as you pass missions your Rank will go up and you'll become homicide detectives, vice detectives and so on. For all you people worried about graphics(one of my top concerns in a game) the graphics are beautiful its 720p but wow its sharp and the natural motions of the characters will have you feeling like your in a movie, You will also see several celebrities in the game(awesome touch). I beat the game in a week, I'm not that addicted to my ps3 but when it came to this game i actually sat there and played for 1hr and 30 on average until i beat the game. Overall the game is great worth my 64 bucks at best buy, why best buy and not game stop you ask? Because its closer to my house and the best buy chicks are ... :) Its no call of duty but its an awesome game PSN-Armaniexchange3

Just cant wait!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Based solely on research through press conferences and videos it looks like Rockstar has done it again. Based in the late 40's, you are a WWII hero trying his hand at law enforcement. You start as an officer on beat patrol and work your way up to traffic, homicide, arson ect. Solve crimes based on true stories along the way. With the occasional gunfire it has a taste of the classic GTA freerome feel mixed in with Heavy Rain. Rockstar always had problems making detailed players until Red Dead Redemption, but for L.A. Noire they used a method 5 years in the making and developed by Rockstar which implements 32 High Def cameras recording every little muscle movement on the actors faces. This is especially helpful because you have to determine if a suspect is lying based on voice tone and facial/body expressions. I will definitely be pre-ordering this little gem. Its not often Rockstar comes out with a game, but when they do its a game fit for the Gods.

Best Rockstar game yet!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have played all( and I mean all) of the GTA and RDR games...this is by far the best...not just becuase of the facial expressions...but because of the gameplay.people have been complaining that you do the same things over and over again...that's true. As a cop youtravel to the crime scene and look for clues to colve the case...it's makes you feel like you're doing the job of a cop. The graphics are top notch...way ahead of previous GTA and RDR where everything looked blurry and washed out. Lets not mention how all of LA is accurate and looks amazing.Don't listen to the prior reviews...esp from the guy that can't even spell correctly in his review let alone know what a good game is all about...this game is amazing and should not be missed

boring game from a company that makes great games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all L.A. Noire is not a bad game but when their are so many other amazing games out there why buy just an ok game. I will list the positve and negatives of the game in my humble opinion to help you make your own decision. Positive: 1.) The facial recognition technology is amazing. The game relies on you to pick up on facial clues to figure out if you suspect is telling the truth. 2.) The game looks beautiful 3.) The map within the game is big and allows you to freeing go where you want to. Negative: 1.) The game is tedious and searching for clues on your suspects faces can be pretty boring. 2.) The game does not have enough to do beyond the main missions. 3.) The game makes you basically run around in circles. The above is my 2 cents. Rockstar has tons of other great titles that would be better to spend your hard earned money on, like Red Dead Redemption, GTA 4 or GTA 5. Thank you for reading my review, if you have any questions feel free to email me, I would be happy to help you with any questions you have.

Great job Rockstar
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a fan of Rockstar's games at all, you will enjoy this game. Much better than RDR, big improvements on all aspects of gameplay. Cars have actual manufactor names, massive free roam area for game content, very clean new gameplay engine. Being that it is based on police/detective work, pay attention to the rating if considering it for minors as some of the scenes are pretty graphic. Red Dead Redemption was a great, having played it I was not sure that this game would appeal to me. But it is a very enjoyable experience.

Amazing game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Games deserves 5/5 especially seeing how I have hated ALL Rockstar game other then Red Dead Redemption. Amazing graphics and facial engine is brilliant. Gameplay is also wonderful. It's Phoenix Wright in the 40s with action scenes. What's not to like?! Hoping this 5/5 helps make up that reviewer who gave a 4/5 without playing it... ~_~

Wish story line wasnt so linear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this game when it first came out, and i was all excited about this new facial expression theme in the game. And its very cool, you can see people twitch when they lie. BUT this is a big BUT cause this takes away from the game, you cant do any mistakes in the game everything is already predetermined. I wish that depending what actions i take affects the future of the game... In this game it doesnt matter if you questioned a witness and you got all the questions wrong and got no information the game will have the witness just tell you where to go... game doesnt evolve... And when you introduce this new facial expression software onto a game and they use it in a way where now you have to determine whether some one is telling the truth or lieing by their faical reactions then make this matter... that was their whole selling point of the game this new software but at it is, is a gimmick. It doesnt matter in the game cause like a said get the questions right or wrong and the gameplay will not get affected you wont miss a step. All it means that is some stat points... Everything else about the game is cool you have action, drama, and cool cases... So ill say rent it before buying it and check it out yourself... Cause people dont mind that the story will not get affected and just like the actual gameplay.... Now if your like me and wish that the game did change as you play i will recommend HEAVY RAIN... That game is AWESOME, its a very slow starting game cause the controls are unique to say the least and you do need that time to figure how the buttons will work but once it starts going it goes fast and intense and EVERYTHING you do affects the storyline, you can kill off a character and if he/she was suppose to do something later that scene gets cut..... But L.A. Noire I will buy the sequel cause i fee that it will get better....

Criminal Minds & Law & Order Wrapped In One
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a huge fan of anything crime-related, therefore am a huge fan of criminal justice dramas. The storyline is really interesting and a lot of fun. The graphics are astounding. When I saw the trailer for L.A. Noire it was actually the biggest push for me to finally buy the PS3 (I had been putting it off even though I am a huge PS fan) and I was not disappointed.

good and bad games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i got these game from gamestop for $16.00. i trade in 2 unwanted games for this one. happy that it will be my last game purchase because these lead me to think there more important than just playing game. anyway, game had a good story and gameplay lenth is the longest which is great but there less acution and allot of solving cases. got the ps3 version and got two addional cases with my purchase but this will be my last game purchase. if you are a gamer, i think this game is for you but me, this game kind of getting me depress, seeing people die.

Rockstar is finally all grown up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been seeming that Rockstar games has ever been so lately trying to grow out of its mindless rage induced rampages you tend to find in of some of their older titles, but now has developed a more deeper and darkerside with this game dealing with more mature situations like currption and homicide. The main selling points of this game are the face visuals which I must say are absolutly stunning and the detective and interrogation sequences while keeping shooting to minimum. the game tries to come off looking like a sand box but instead makes it pretty linear like Mafia 2 did which is some what disappointing specially coming from like Rockstar which main purpose of every game is sand box but then again its to give you more of an immersion feeling, only thing to do besides cases is to sometimes go to street crime locations which tend to delay acctually you know doing the cases of your specific department like you don't have homicide deal with a jumper its impractical. though through all and all I applaude Rockstar for doing something instead of an new GTA game and losing the huggies and and putting on some big boy pants though this game will come and disappoint many under age 10 year old fans who overly hype about the GTA series and Red Dead series due to the extreme amounts of violence found in them. In conclusion if your looking for a good story and wanna kill 15+ hours this is the game for you.

game looks great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i haven't played yet. but i have to say this game looks great! its the first of its kind. the graphics especially that newly developed face system looks great. rockstar always had problems making characters look good in their games until red dead redemption. overall rockstar is great game developer. and i cant wait to play this game. watch the videos at the rockstar page!

Phenomenal Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is probably the most well crafted game i have ever played and i highly suggest people should purchase this for a different taste in gameplay, rather than shooting everything in sight.

Great game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up on new years day for $10. I already played it on the xbox 360 but for the price thought i would play it again on the ps3. The ps3 is 1 disc while the xbox 360 version has 3 disc. Anyway this is unlike any game you ever played before. Its fun & keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Decent Game, No Replay Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I love Rockstar games. The graphics in this game are pretty amazing considering 1940s LA has been replicated entirely. The first few cases get you into the game and used to the idea that you have to pay attention to facial movements etc. The problem, at least for me, was that there was no deviation from the theme. You go to a scene, check for clues, interview people, maybe chase a bad guy if he runs, then go to the interrogation room. With the exception of the occasional shootout or car chase, it gets fairly redundant. Overall, it is a decent game, but there really isn't any replay value once you finish the cases unless you want to revisit them to get a perfect rating on each one. This game seems more of a Gamefly/rental game rather than a $60 must have.

Very good game

Creative and pretty fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a pretty open roam game, sometimes its hard figuring out what your looking for and it can be fustrating but it makes it challenging. Its creative and different from Heavy Rain, atleast in Noire make a choice and thats that, theres no going back and re-doing it. Its actually really cool. I play the game when I have alot of time on my hands, so its a really cool game but its really time consuming. Can be kind of boring at times.
