Great STEM project

I purchased this item as a STEM project for my son while we're in quarantine from school. He really enjoyed building the VR headset & blaster, & the onscreen tutorial was great also. The included games have been entertaining too. The only thing the company should change or improve on would be to include a device to hold the headset in place to free up the child's hands while playing. I'm not sure younger kids could build this unsupervised, but older middle schoolers definitely could.

The build of the two items is fun and had some different pieces/steps than other labo sets. The games associated with the headset on it's own are pretty simple and feel more like tech demos. The blaster is a different story. My kids and I have thoroughly enjoyed passing the blaster around the room taking turns to see who can get the high score. I recommend this kit as a treat drive with labo vr and then buy the expansions later if you enjoy it.
Added benefit, you'll get an arm without with the blaster games. Ha!

It's definitely a good entry point into VR, costing only $40.00. The only drawback is no headstrap and resolution could be better.

This is a super cool virtual reality game! It took a long time to put together but if you make it fun, it just adds to the anticipation of playing the games for the kids. I had no idea Nintendo had this capability and if I had known sooner, I would’ve grabbed this up immediately. Can’t wait to get the other sets! It is cardboard so I don’t know how long it will last, but I’d probably buy it again if it broke.

I know this is intended for children, but as a 29-year-old, I was able to enjoy using this. It's educational and fun to use. Educates you on how 3D visuals and VR works. The games are fun too, especially the shooting ones! It's an inexpensive and DIY take on VR, which I believe Nintendo designed perfectly given that they are limited by the technology of the Switch. Very creative approach too!

At this point, people should know what they are getting into with Labo. Like Lego sets, expect to spend half your playtime building said object in question. You either enjoy the building or your don't. I really enjoyed the process. The VR is as basic as it gets, but its also super accessible and surprisingly good with the blaster. This is what Nintendo does best, putting fun and unique spins on older tech.

Good Kit and concept, but Games could be better

The cardboard kit, instructions, and build is very creative and well thought out. The software on the other hand Could be better. Instead they are more of a collection of concept mini games. The blaster game is much better.
The kit in all takes a couple of hours and a bit more if the kids are involved.
In all it is a great activity to do with the kids.

My 8 yr. old son had been wanting this thing for the longest. Luckily we had our GCU which brought down the price. It's a good way for you to bond with your child while you build this. Took us almost an hour trying to build the gun and VR. He really enjoyed it though and now plays it non stop I think he said you can create your own game as well.

This item was ver neat and awesome. I bought the $40 version and I would have bought the $80 version if I knew it was that good. The pieces are easy to cut out and assemble. Instructions can be a little confusing at times though. It is also very time consuming. Overall, it’s a great kit in my opinion.

The games that come included with the VR kit are fun, and it is a great time building The stuff. One downside is you can’t spend a long time playing, because the low resolution hurts your eyes. And there’s no strap or a way to secure the goggles to your face. It’s more of a fun party thing then an intense VR gaming experience.

Nintendo Labo VR set gives you everything you need to get the experience of vr, it's very cool and creative, if you want more you can get expansion kits. You can also play Mario Odyssey and Zelda breath of the wild, perhaps more games will be patched for additional compatibility!

Overall the blaster was easy to assemble, keep enquiring minds away though!! I actually followed the construction details on youtube, which were surprisingly easy.
I would certainly purchase different designs. Has become a good fun toy for my children to use and play with.

Many different games to play all on one cartridge! Instructions on how to build are on the cartridge, I this is one project you will want to enjoy doing with your kids! Being that it’s made of sturdy cardboard, I don’t recommend letting kids under 12 try and put the pieces together by their self. Once together the kids had a blast! It’s a great game for kids, family time or parties. Everyone can watch on the regular TV as they take turns going through the simulations. Their are plenty of games on the cartridge it comes with but would love to see Nintendo come out with some Haunted House themed ones. The Nintendo’s system itself goes in the googles so unless you have 2 of the Nintendo switch tablets you can only have 1 Vr set up at a time. Don’t make the mistake I did and pre-punch out everything as it took me 2hrs to build. Keep everything on its cardboard sheet and go through each model step by step to build, it will be so much easier and faster. Happy playing!

Most VR head sets cost more then $100 so this is a great way to experience affordable VR and if the kit being $40 is deceiving, keep in mind this is a game for the switch meaning you are paying $40ish bucks on the game and a couple of dollars for the cardboard

I didn't think i would like Labo as much is i do. But its a unique experience. And can be fun building the kits. And came across in a clever way. My only gripe is that the vr is to blurry, And it don't come with a head strap.

I only picked up the Virtual Blaster set and opted out of buying the full kit in fear that I would lose myself in the virtual world pretending to be a bird or elephant (offered in the full kit) due to my furry fetish. The setup was relatively simple on the goggles and the instructions to construct the blaster were flawless and so much fun to follow. It definitely took a little time and effort but it's so rewarding once you've completed the build. I'm dumbfounded by how incredibly creative Nintendo is and this product truly encapsulates that magic. The cardboard is extremely sturdy and so well crafted that I have no worries that this will hold up the test of time. Will it hold up once the long rumored Hobo with a Shotgun game comes to Switch? That's another story and another review but for now, I plan on spending Easter Weekend in a Virtual World blasting anything that moves!

I absolutely love virtual reality gaming, and Nintendo's attempt at VR is absolutely wonderful. The blaster game is complete with the arcade feel and it doesn't get better than this. This budget VR is extremely cheap and I highly, highly recommend.

The instructions are so good and simple. My 6 yrs old could build all the sets 1,2,3 and 4 by herself 99% of the time. She was into it so much that they had fun for almost the whole week + some. Highly recommended.

This is a perfect VR experience for someone who can't afford the real expensive VR units, or for someone whos curious about VR but doesn't wanna spend too much just to try out. The games are all simple and clever and work well!
