Labo is awesome!

It's not just "cheap" cardboard. The quality is very good, and frankly just building them is a lot of fun. You also get to see how they are made and function, and some of the "games" have a lot of depth. You can even use the motorcycle toy-con in Mario Kart now!

Like the idea but lost steam

You make toys and then play with them. Cool! But when I lost steam it was really hard to go back to it. The toys are fun to construct but once you're done, the games are just alright. Nothing amazing and the cardboard just sort of sits there. Yay...?

We thought this would be the perfect gift because it involves building and playing video games! He is able to follow the directions to put everything together and we have had a lot of fun playing with them. Especially the fishing rod!

Cardboard is very sturdy and high quality so it's not just going to fall apart. The stickers for the piano part when changing sounds do not always stick, it's not a drawback, but you just have to reapply, I hope Nintendo continues to have newer ideas and builds for Labo.
