My geek originally tried to install this product on my Apple MacBook Pro laptop. He’d thought my original purchase was defective, but this one would not load up either. This leads me to believe this back up product is not compatable.

It’s a Seagate hard drive

Problems with the first one.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had issues with the first one I bought. Who know what was wrong with it. I had problems formatting the drive. It had given me errors when trying to format in any format. I returned the drive and bought another one. The replacement had no issues formatting or partitioning like the first one. i was able to use it as a time machine back up. Who knows what the issue of the first one. Maybe since I ordered it online, it may have been jostled around in the pick up bin causing some failure. The build quality is nice only time will tell if this will last.

Installation impossible on Mac

The set-up instructions do not match what the Toolkit software looks like on my Mac. Select "enable" on the menu? There is no menu. Will drive 5 miles back, and return the drive to Best Buy.
