An up and coming pinacle of Prog.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This album brings a significantly pleasant new flavor of ambiance to The Contortionist's discography. It's very interesting to see this band shed their "djent" skin, and foster more progressive elements in to their music. 5/5, and a must-GRAB for any fans of blissfully serene progressive metal.

A great continuation

One of the best prog metal albums this year!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had heard previous releases by The Contortionist, but for whatever reason they never really hooked me. Language is a completely different story. The band backs off a little bit on the extreme metal influences, but injects their sound with a lot more progressive elements. The end result is an album that is experimental, but still cohesive and relatively accessible. I think this album is going to do for this band what Alaska did for Between The Buried And Me. Like with that band, it's clear that this is a very talented group with diverse interests outside of traditional metal music. If you are well-versed in the genre, this is arguably one of the best releases this year. For those unfamiliar with this kind of music, I think it's a good starting point and would encourage you to give it a try.

Epic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I cannot get over how different The Contortionist is since I first saw them 10 years ago. They've grown so much and they're sound has evolved into this epic ness of metal. Best album of 2014!

Language Album of the Year!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are hardly words to explain how great this album is. You just have to listen to it yourself. You might say to yourself "but I'm not a metal fan". Take the time to buy this and listen to it. It's not just for metal fans. It's so smoothly and boldly written by a group of guys who really care about their craft. That's what the music world is missing. Get this. You won't regret it. Watch the newest video listed.
