I bought this as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old nephew and he started playing with it right away. Pros are that the interface is easy to navigate and he started figuring out how to play the apps right away; also it presents a locked down environment so even very determined kids wouldn't be able to use it to go unmediated to the Wild West that is today's internet. There are a couple of cons; the tablet can sometimes be a little slow to respond especially when updating, plus the Leapfrog Connect app (if you sync the tablet from your laptop) can often choose to download a LOTTA info so you probably want to do that at night when the little ones are sleeping. But that sync also lets you track via Connect what they are learning. Overall I am satisfied with this product.

My Grandson loves his Leap Frog Leap Pad....He plays with it regularly and has so much fun...

Aside from not having any real games coming with it. Because all are separately priced. The pad itself it easy to navigate. My son is going to be 3 soon and after 3 days, he can navigate and use all the included software.

Good for young kids I thought I would never get one this is a perfect gift for Christmas

Great tablet for kids. Had the Leappad before this one. The rechargeable battery makes this one a lot better (went through a lot of batteries in the old one). Connects to wi-fi, which is good. My son loves it.

keeps my kids busy and I can now use my own iPad and not have them bother me anymore

Got this this for my son's fourth birthday, I did the initial setup and he did the rest. He loves playing on it and it's great that I don't have to worry about inappropriate content on the internet.

Durable tablet for young kids. No need to set parental controls they are preset and there is only limited web browsing available. Leapfrog picks out what can be seen.
