I believe this device is over hyped.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I believe this device is over hyped. Many reviews absolutly glazing the screen and not really mentioning the device has several major short comings. I bought this and the XAX to test at the same time and returned the Legion. The Joysticks ares really bad. So loose with no tightness or precision The Joystick and button placement are herendous. Instead of the joystick naturally resting under your right thumb , it lands in the middle of your palm while holding the device correctly. You have to do this awkward crab calw grip shuffle to geet the right joystick properly under your thumb , and the everytime you want to press a face button you have to adjust your grip. Trust me please. The device is very heavy , is awkward to play on the couch , even more awkward playing in bed, its not just low key and easy to hold and use. Everyone is glazing how beautiful the screen is , which it is , but the moment you want to do an actual gaming sesh on this thing you got numb arms and crappy loose aim and very buggy sofware. Lenovo is litterally so slow with sofware updates. The Xbox Ally X is getting major updates like every other day right now.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that the Legion Go falls short for you in various regards. We strive to provide the best experience possible, and we appreciate your comments regarding system design and software updates. It makes sense that the Xbox Ally X would receive updates more regularly with it being a new system offering from Xbox and ASUS.

Great device Bad hardware
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Good, This really is a premium device. I was blown away at the oled display and the way it fits in my hands. Plays arc raiders pretty well at a avg of 50fps on low setting no upscaling. The Bad, Now I am no dummy and I obviously know not to put the device in the case while it’s turned on because it would cause over heating in just minutes… So with that being said one evening I finished playing for the night and went thru my usual steps of closing everything out and doing a full shut down. Not sleep not hibernate but SHUTDOWN. Then I put the device in the case and plugged in the charger. The next evening I pick it up to play it and to my surprise the device was extremely hot. So hot in fact that it melted and warped the whole back side of the device where the intake fan is and melted the inside of the case slightly. I would say this device was every bit of 250 degrees Fahrenheit. I immediately took it to a fan to start cooling it down for 20 minutes or so and one it was room temp I powered it on and surprisingly everything still worked. I don’t know if it was software or hardware that caused this issue but either way it almost brought my house to ashes.

Too many compromises
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not worth the almost $1400 price tag whatsoever. The ergonomics are terrible. The right joystick is way too low and positioned in a way that makes playing fps or competitive games impossible. Very heavy and unweildy. The OLED screen has a very ugly mura effect. The fans are obnoxiously loud. Barely a 10-% performance increase from last gen. Avoid this and wait for something somewhat remotely worth the price. Way too may compromises and issues for the money. I love OLED and all my devices are OLEDs but it can’t save this device here. Ergonomics are the most important thing in a handheld and the dealbreaker here is definitely that right joystick and the controller in general. Looking at the Xbox Ally X now, despite the unfortunate screen, it’ll be way more comfortable.

Overpriced and over hyped
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yep! That's what I said. This device is way too expensive for the underwhelming performance and the amount of adjusting the settings that need to be done just to play the games properly and smoothly. Get a Nintendo Switch 2 if you want a handheld device on the go and don't want any guess work.

Cmon Lenovo Smh!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LEGO2 its self was amazing, however I had an horrible experience with mine. The most recent firmware pushed out by Lenovo disabled both USB-C ports and system cannot recognize when plugged in to charge. Call Lenovo Support and the troubleshooting steps did not help. Returned to Best Buy and of course, they are still sold out.

I'll be waiting for the SteamDeck 2.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within two weeks of purchase the touchscreen stopped working. Best Buy wanted me to go through the manufacturer to get it fixed. Sounded like a big hassle to me. I just got my money back.
