Read if you’re looking to switch from SteamOS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The OG Legion Go with windows is a great device, but only the device. The screen is beautiful, the controllers feel great and the device as a whole looks and feels well built. But Windows… I cannot emphasize enough how terrible windows is on a handheld. Especially coming from a Steamdeck with how easy to use SteamOS is. It took almost a full day of tinkering to get any games setup and running decent on the Go. Even then controller issues, windows issues, VRAM issues, on and on. It is beyond frustrating. Until Windows has an actual handheld gaming software, I’m afraid it just is not worth the hassle. TLDR: Windows ruins the device, stick with SteamOS.

Sturdy Little Beast
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this as a work laptop replacement. It gets a work out at office but when I'm home on the couch is when it most shines. The vast majority of my time with the GO has been with Diablo 4 but I've played plenty more graphic intense games like Horizon and Far Cry 6. It handles them all easily. As of now the GO has taken over as my favorite way to play even though I have a beefy desktop. It's the freedom of just picking up and playing, watching TV while playing, at the office, playing. In terms of build, the screen is clean and vibrant and the controls feel akin to an 8bit do controller.

Great handheld till date
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One thing that i love about it is the screen, comparing it to steamdeck makes the steam deck looks like a joke.i was worried about it not having VRR but with Amd FSR and the display high 144hz every thing seems to run smooth. And again i like the detachable controllers meaning i can swap new ones out when they get defective

Not for everyone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This isn’t a gaming handheld in the sense that it is easy to hold and the right weight. It’s too big and heavy. I had to put it on top of a pillow to make it comfortable enough to hold and even then the grip is not good. The whole switch theme may be nice for some but it isnt for people who simple want to hold it. I only could do that at a desk as anything too low makes it hard to look at. Doesn’t sitting at a desk mean it isnt portable? It just doesn’t feel like a gaming handheld compared to the Rog Ally and Steamdeck which are superior in design. I also couldn’t get how buggy it is and the deadzones. It feels rushed and that Lenova wanted a switch gaming handheld, but why the riduclous size. A bigger screen does not mean better.

The Lenovo Legion Go Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My experience with the Lenovo Legion Go has been absolutely fantastic. There are parts that need work for sure, lets not discredit all the system itself is a awesome machine. The idea of the detachin controllers, 8.8 inch screen is absolutely good! Im loving it so far my 1TB is doing good for me and I plan on using this for a very long time.

Impressive screen and hardware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this. Yes. it is bulkier and heavier. also glitches in the software side. But offers a bang great screen and control concept! I just hope Lenovo resolves all software issues as soon as possible! For the hardware wise, I am not a complainer at all. love larger SSD, vibrant grandeur screen, and remote-control capability, extremely useful when watching Netflix on the bed.

BROLIC system!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this cuz I was approached by someone in the engineering department, asking me if I can get games for “this thing”, I have a talent for acquiring certain things, but installing them as another. My Curiosity let me to looking into this device and then purchasing. I was shocked how huge The Box was! When I packed it then started to set up. I got acquainted with it, then add games and titles that I am familiar with among other things. Granted that you can use this as a laptop and its own way but personally, I would prefer prefer to have it solely for games and I must say that I was nothing but amazed at what it could play. I even started playing Nintendo switch games on it. Granted that he has more buttons on it than what I could have possibly imagined, but in comparison to the switch, it is definitely detachable to also play just like the switch And you can also use the right hand joy as a mouse. I cannot wait to see what the Legion2Go! looks like

Coolest handheld gaming device I ever owned!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Alright, let's talk about this beast of a device. First off, the build is top-notch – it feels and looks awesome. If you're into gaming and know your way around Windows, you're gonna love this. It's perfect for gaming on the go, and man, the hardware does not disappoint. There are a few bugs with the Legion Space, but the screen is so big, you'll hardly notice. Here's a cool tip: I tweaked the sound on the Realtek Audio Console app, and it's like night and day compared to my old Steam Deck. Quality and performance-wise, this thing's a step up. And guess what? You get Xbox Game Pass for free when you start, which is a game-changer. I always wished the Steam Deck had something like that. easily better than SD and ROG. This device is so powerful, I've been using it instead of my computer for everyday stuff, especially when I hook it up to a bigger screen. Don't get put off by the negative reviews. If you know your way around a Windows setup, you're golden. But heads up, this isn't like your usual PlayStation or Xbox where everything's straightforward. If you're not too tech-savvy, it might get a bit frustrating. But if you're up for it, totally go for it!

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Almost two months of playing AAA games on this device and I am beyond pleased with its performance. Software needs work but I would not trade this big beautiful screen for a steam deck or ally. Incredible device.

Perfect fit for the right audience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Make sure you do your research on which handheld PC is best for you as this is not better than the others for everyone. But if you want the large higher res screen than the others along with the detachable controllers, this is fantastic

Better now after some time in the oven
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely amazing screen. The updates ahve improved the experience a great deal to the point I can recommend it on sale when it hits the $500 mark. Fans still spin up to a too noisy level when running at 30w but are also better curve than when it launched. The big issues it has are the fans spinning up when its just charging but otherwise idle, the awful speakers, and the slow driver updates. Would give it 3.5 stars if I could but rounded up just to encourage Lenevo to continue to support the product.

Great overall handheld
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good device with a learning curve, but there are guides that makes the process of a gaming focused handheld easy to manage. I got the Legion Go mainly because of the windows interface, i have a Steam Deck and the OS can be a little complicated to handle, in regards to file location and modding games. Some can be compatible in both, but others require different configurations, or to be patched by another tool, etc. Only issue i have is the design of the controllers, after a few hours i can feel some discomfort in the palm of my hand. Overall the Legion Go can be a great handheld, and the detachable controllers bring another ease of access to play comfortably.

Emulation Beast!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start off by sayjng that if you’ve used a windows based computer within the last 3 years than this machine is a walk in the park. If you know how to tinker with electronics youll have this thing with upgraded memory (up to 4tb i believe, maybe 8tb not sure), all the game systems since the early Atari days and all the games youll ever need. Ill be honest and many might not like what im going to say but these were designed for on the go Adults or young college kids. Ive tested and installed games from Atari 2600 to recently PS4 backups and guess what it runs them all with little to no adjustments flawlessly. Im not into most of the new game content out there so i cant say how it performs on anything recent (2024-2025). All in all it serves its purpose for what i need and transferring files to and from other devices is fast.

Great device, wish they had a 32GB option.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this thing. It plays a bunch of games, runs windows 11, and even has the capability to become a full desktop computer if you connect a usb-c dock to it. Well worth the money. I just wish it had an option for 32 GB of ram. I would gladly pay more for additional ram. The problem is that the ram is soldered to the motherboard, so you can't actually upgrade the ram yourself without advanced soldering gear and knowledge. Even if you are able to solder the chips onto the board you then need to edit the startup files.

Great Handheld Limited By Poor Software Defaults
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As an owner of an original Steam Deck I was looking for something a little larger that could be more performant in titles that required a little more oomph than the Steam Deck could offer. The LeGO definitely checks these boxes. That being said, Windows is NOT a good OS for handhelds. Fortunately Bazzite Linux (A SteamOS like system) fully supports the LeGO. This device is still having frequent BIOS updates to correct issues which is normal this early into a products life cycle. These updates must be applied from a fully functional windows environment. This has required me to keep a Windows To Go bootable USB drive on hand so that I can apply BIOS updates which works but is less than elegant. Overall I really like the LeGO and it fills the niche of a large handheld, which while not being super efficient on battery is good enough to last for 2-3 hours. The default software is garbage.... mostly due to it being designed as a Windows handheld. Fortunately that is something that is fairly easily addressed with alternative operating systems. The difficulties in applying BIOS updates is a real pain point and one Lenovo could fix by allowing BIOS images to be applied from within the BIOS like other manufacturers do. (ASUS EZ BIOS Flash comes to mind) This pain point is the primary reason I score this device 4/5 stars. In all other aspects this handheld works extremely well.
