Great device. Works well for smaller indie games, can play big games if you don’t mind the graphics hit and a dip in performance here and there. Portable and casual

Okay, this thing turned out to be an amazing gadget. At first, I have to admit that i went in skeptical about trying it. Please, do not go by what others say about it. This thing is really an amazing gaming device. One of the things that stand out. Omg, the screen. It is simply gorgeous. Games play good, despite it not having VRR. It is really stupid fast. It hardly gets hot. It is true, the fan does turn on, however, it is hardly audible. One thing for sure, you need to be computer savvy in order to get it to work the way you'd like to, because just simply, this is a tiny computer power house. If you’re on the fence about it, don't be, just try it. I'm pretty sure you won't regret getting it. Ps, it does have some quircks, that with time, lenovo for sure will iron out. Another thing, the controllers need some time to get used to. I love the fact that you can take them off, just in case any of them brake down, it will be easy to replace. I'm extremely satisfied with it. This puts a smile on my face every time i'm on it. I feel like a kid again. An older kid. Thank you Lenovo.

Bought this for my son - he loves it! Greta performance! Screen size is perfect. Loves that the joysticks come off - can use them with adapter to turn joystick into mouse - both joysticks off and you have a tablet. Carry case has hidden built-in pocket to charge device while being stored. Overall, awesome purchase!

I also own a Steam Deck and ASUS ROG Ally, so I do have other handheld PCs to compare to. Advantages: - 2560x1600p144 screen - Slightly bigger 49.2Wh battery - Detachable controllers like a Nintendo Switch - Controllers use hall-effect joysticks - Two USB-C (USB 4.0) ports on the top and the bottom of the device - Unexpectedly lightweight Disadvantages: - Screen does not have a Variable Refresh Rate (e.g. AMD FreeSync) capability so if your FPS varies in certain games more often than not, it will be noticeable - The Xbox controller View and Menu buttons are on oriented on the left joystick, which can be jarring for those used to the Xbox/PlayStation controller layouts - The casing it comes with does not come with a compartment to store the AC adapter/charger - Legion Space software feels like it's still in early stages, especially when compared to the Steam Deck's SteamOS built-in overlay and the ROG Ally's version of Armory Crate (SE) I would still recommend this handheld PC as it does have a bigger screen compared to the ROG Ally and is much more performant compared to the Steam Deck at 15W TDP.

The Legion Go is simply put awesome. The screen is massive for a handheld. Been plugging in for gaming on the couch, so haven't had an issue with the battery not lasting long. Have played borderlands 3, Diablo, and Fallout 4 on this thing, and all played perfect. If you can get on sale like I did it's worth it.

Being a owner of both legion go and asus rog ally, the legion go feels better to game on. Big screen can be a plus or minus when traveling but legion seems to run games better. Setup time with up dating legion was long and ran fine after updates. Haven't used the controllers detached, but looks promising with shooters.

this thing is awesome and Unlike the Switch, which has a thin and flimsy kickstand on the back, the Legion Go has a wide kickstand that covers its entire backside. This not only ensures your machine won’t topple over, but it also opens up an alternative way to play the device. such as FPS mode kind of fun and silly at the same time. The Lenovo Legion Go is a portable gaming powerhouse that punches above its weight. With its compact design and detachable accessories, it's built for gaming on the go without sacrificing performance. Powered by top-tier components, including a graphics card and Intel Core processor, it delivers smooth gameplay and stunning visuals. Whether you're gaming, working, or streaming, its versatility shines through. If you crave gaming freedom without compromise, the Legion Go is your ticket to untethered excitement.

Great device. The screen is very nice and allows for a very clear and detailed images when gaming compared to smaller screens. Battery life could be better, but the Z1E in it performs extremely well during the battery life. Great storage, great controller, it is best played with a outlet nearby

We are glad to read that the Legion Go has been great for you overall.

Regarding the battery life, depending on the demand of the game you're playing, by pressing the Legion R button to launch the quick menu, you can switch to lower power mode to save battery. In the menu, under the performance tab, users can toggle thermal modes and prioritize battery life by using the default mode or creating a custom thermal mode should you not be satisfied with the 3 presets. These adjustments can also be made by going into Legion Space > Settings (Legion Space can be launched quickly by pressing the Legion L button (Legion Logo above the button).

If you like big screens this is the handheld pc/console for you. The Lenovo software is in need of some love. Hopefully it will get some more patches/updates that will improve it over the next several months. I found the build quality to be very nice. It doesn't feel like a toy and it doesn't feel cheap to me. If Lenovo/AMD continue with the updated drivers, etc. I think Lenovo has a winner on its hands. I found the analog sticks to be tighter/better than the Asus ROG Ally sticks. The Asus sticks are too loose imo. It takes some getting used to with the weight. I do find it to be comfortable. There are a ton of buttons though, because of the FPS mode, mouse, and customization options. If you're in need of a bigger screen and you're comfortable tinkering with windows software i think it's pretty sweet. I like the Steam deck, and ROG Ally as well. This one is friendly with xbox game pass and the build, screen, and the thinking outside the box unique features (FPS mode, detachable switch-like controllers). It's not perfect, but it's good!

I'm am really enjoying the versatility of this device. I am able to play games from any source. Charging it is easy due to the 2 USBC ports. My only real complaint is the weight of the device combined with the shape of the controllers makes it uncomfortable to hold. I was able to get a silicone shell that makes it easier to hold and smooths the edges of the controllers. The sound is also not great but I am not bothered by that overall.

I got this as a gift for my wife after her laptop gpu crashed. She absolutely loves it. She also loves that she can still switch from gaming to work with the Windows OS. She understand that the battery life on a handheld this powerful won't last like that if a Switch, and remedied it by using a power bank.

Build quality is great. Screen is great and bright. Controllers feel nice, wish it was PS layout instead of Xbox layout, the sharp edges dig into my palms after a while but it's tolerable. Heat management is good, doesn't go above 75C, the fan is audible and wish it didn't have a high pitch sound to it but earbuds eliminates that issue. Wish the SSD size was standard with the Steam Deck and ROG Ally. This device is great! But if you expect to run AAA games at ultra details at default resolution, this isn't the device for you and you're better off getting an gaming laptop with a RTX 4090. You have to tinker, that's the name of the game.

not exactly user friendly if you aren't decent with computers i might recommend something else. that being said its powerful lots of interesting features. the battery will drain fast running more intensive games but it runs them beautifully.

I’ve been a handheld gamer all my life. From the early days of nintendo, to the current high power pc handhelds. I own the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, and Legion GO. I can say with complete certainty, that the hardware on the Legion Go is my favorite configuration. The detachable controllers are a game changer. And the massive screen is incredibly beautiful. 5 stars!

Having purchased both the rog ally and the legion go, returned the rog and giving this one a shot. Soild handheld not too heavy unless you have small hands however like the rog if you are not tech savy with drivers, tweking settings,or windows itself , you may be dismayed. Being brand new into the market it still has alot of updates to go which is why im going to give it a shot and hopefully next year with future updates from lenovo it will be at its best potential. Comparing it to the rog ally the main reason i keeping the legion is much more fluid it is being both a gamepad and a desktop , i dont use legion space at all other than the settings part which is handy . At least until lenovo updates it. the fps mode is cool turning the right controller into a mouse basically turning it into a mini on the go pc. Beautfiul screen but dont except to be playing AAA with high settingd and in its native resolution but hopefully that will change with updates.

    1. Not for casual gamers looking for an out of the box expereance. More then basic windows gaming experance required. IE BIOS updates, DDU and full windows reinstall 2. Works on AAA tittles however you will run these games on low settings at 1280x800 3. Battery life is limmited at this time. Updates might help a small bit. You will need a 100W power brick not the oem 65w power adapter it comes with and a good 20000mah battery that does PD100w. 4. Would upgrade to a 2tb NVME drive so buy the 500gb version and upgrade it your self. 5. I have the ONEXGPU works verry nice but the Legion go is not on oem graphics drivers and it is a pain to set it up to work with an eGpu at this time. Cyberpunk 2077 running at 130 fps agt 1920x1200. Usuing eGpu + lossless scaling on high settings looks amazing on this screen and plays smooth.
