Mixed bag - Rog is better at the moment

Having both the Rog and Legion Go, most YouTubers reviewers miss a few things: - The Legion Go is noticeably heavier and challenging to hold with one hand. - The Legion Go's software has some positives, such as the ability to set a custom TDP like the Steam Deck. However, overall, its functionality is less smooth than the Rog software. It lacks a background helper and requires full-screen loading, perhaps attempting to mimic Steam OS but not achieving that level of helpfulness. - The Legion Go's user interface is poorly optimized and lags despite faster memory. - The Legion Go has backwards-facing speakers, which makes it necessary to turn the volume up to 100 to hear anything. - To access the quick menu to change the TDP, you need to press the right button three times, with the first click bringing up the left shortcut menu for recently opened games. - The Legion Go's UI resembles something from a 1990s PC game. - The 1600p 16:10 screen causes issues when using applications like Moonlight for local game streaming, especially for DLSS 3.5 and ray tracing. - Even with the same 10-watt TDP and resolution, the Legion Go delivers fewer frames than the Rog in Wargroove 2. - Many games struggle with 16:10 aspect ration and 1600p resolution - The absence of Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on the Rog makes it feel much smoother compared to the Legion Go, which experiences significant frame spikes. - Enabling a gamepad on the Lenovo Go is more challenging than on the Rog, requiring unnecessary tinkering with options. - Oddly, turning off the LED lights doesn't affect the power LED on the Legion Go, which can be inconvenient for nighttime gaming. - The larger screen and some of the FPS functionality on the Legion Go are appreciated. - Bluetooth stability appears better on the Legion Go compared to the Rog Ally. In summary, the hardware of both devices is interesting, although the weight of the Legion Go is a drawback. However, the software significantly hampers its performance. If you already own a Rog, sticking with it is recommended. If you're deciding between the Rog and Legion Go, the current experience is better with the Rog.

We have been enjoying this system. It is like a computer or laptop so technology knowledge helps. It takes a lot of updating at first to get the performance perfect for gaming but is easy to use.

I was only hesitant to buy this because of the price but i think it was absolutely worth it. It runs like a dream and is basically completely customizable (which i personally love).

Nifty if you’re a bit tech savvy and willing to workout the bugs and optimize it. Not as comfortable to hold as other handheld options. Has a great screen however its native mode is portrait so you’ll have some trouble hooking it up to an external display in some cases again there is a bit of a workaround for most cases.i returned it I’ll wait till the next model hopefully they will work the kinks out definitely cool if you’re looking to use exclusive handheld and have the knowledge and don’t mind doing the workarounds. The mouse option is super super cool but holding the controller regularly isn’t the best fit

I have been wanting to get one of these since they came out. Was finally able to save up enough to afford it and have been extremely satisfied with it. I don't get much time to play games anymore other than right before bed. Having a handheld that allows me to access my PC games has been a dream come true!

I honestly love it. It’s basically a mini gaming PC. I emulated all the games I loved and the big detachable screen is what sets it apart from the other handhelds.
