This is a great little handheld to play pc games anywhere on the go. The screen is amazing and the perfect size. It's also a fully functioning desktop pc with a track pad and can do anything a regular pc can. I would say the best feature of the legion go is the detachable controllers. You can disconnect them and use them like the Nintendo switch. The right controller has a magnetic puck that it can be placed into and has a switch on the bottom to turn on/off fps mode to play shooters like COD and Halo. There's definitely plenty of storage for games and the ssd can be upgraded if you want to add more storage. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking to play pc games on the go as well as your Xbox games. Great handheld for a great price. Well worth it!

Great hardware, but Windows limit some things. Performance is decent, you can play the latest AAA games on medium-ish settings, definitely have to scale down to 1200p though. I haven't used it purely as a Windows tablet yet, but there is that option, if you don't mind possibly the worst speakers ever conceived. Battery is pretty bad and the device gets hot, but not where you hold it, the controllers are separate and feel nice to the touch. The screen is the biggest selling point of the Go, it's big, gorgeous, and colors pop. Pair that with 144hz and 2k+ resolution, and it covers for a lot of the glaring weaknesses.

Ive been loving my Legion go. Like most people say it is large, heavy and does not have great battery life. I use it aroybd my house so battery isnt a huge deal with a long charger chord and external batteries can add couple hours to uptime. The screen is fantastic and games ive played look great.

This thing is a beast. For daily use it completely replaces my old home PC, and at break time it's my gaming machine. Taking it with me in vacations so have a laptop and gaming machine in one device to carry. Games run super smooth, the screen is sharp and large. Downsides are battery, which runs out very quickly (~1 hour of gaming), and speakers (very difficult to understand speech, unless volume is really high). Baught it as open box. Arrived in excellent condition without a scratch, but warranty already expired.

This device truly shines when connected to a dock and external monitor, offering a desktop-like gaming experience that's surprisingly seamless. Pros: * Powerful Performance: The Legion Go handles demanding AAA titles with impressive smoothness, even at higher graphical settings. My games looked stunning on my monitor, and I experienced minimal lag or stuttering. * Versatile Docking: The included dock is a game-changer, making the transition from handheld to desktop mode effortless. Connecting to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse felt natural and intuitive. * Comfortable Ergonomics: Despite its larger size, the Legion Go is surprisingly comfortable to hold for extended gaming sessions. The controllers feel well-placed and responsive. * Excellent Game Compatibility: Most games worked flawlessly right out of the box. While I did encounter a couple of minor compatibility hiccups, they were easily resolved with community-made tweaks. Cons: * Battery Life: While serviceable, the battery life isn't exceptional. Expect around 2-3 hours of intensive gameplay on a single charge, which is decent but not groundbreaking. * Size and Weight: It's definitely on the larger side for a handheld. This might not be an issue for everyone, but it's worth considering if portability is a top priority. Overall: The Lenovo Legion Go is a powerful and versatile handheld gaming PC that excels when used in a docked configuration. It offers a near-desktop level experience with impressive performance and comfortable ergonomics. While the battery life could be better and the size might be a concern for some, the Legion Go's strengths make it a compelling option for gamers seeking a premium handheld experience.

I really wanted to review the Lenovo Legion Go because It has been a huge positive surprise. I moved in from Argentina and obviously had to leave my set up back. So as a temporary solution to my lack of a desktop PC I decided to purchase this portable pc/console. To my surprise this little thing is capable of running new games with high specs with no issues, barely gets hot, and runs them with no issues, on top of that is portable! But if you don't want that (like me), you can just plug in some periferals and a monitor and you get a fairly good setup. I would 100% recommend this product. Now, there's a few negatives that won't make me change my opinion but might be important for someone else. The battery doesn't last very long, like in less than an hour is dry, It will obviously depend on what you do. The other thing is the controllers, although is good that there's so many buttons in find it really hard to grab the thing without pressing some button by accident, they are everywhere. Lastly the "mouse" options for the joysticks is not very comfortable, but I'll hardly ever use it.

Fantastic device, but ideal for a certain use case. It excels in performance (pretty much can handle any game out there with the right settings), screen (awesome high-res screen) and compatibility (it runs Windows, so you can run anything). I also really like the kickstand and the two USB-C ports (the Steam Deck and ROG Ally have 1). However, it is fairly heavy compared to the other handheld gaming devices, has loud fans, and is not as comfortable to hold (in terms of ergonomics) as the other handheld devices. I have a Steam Deck as well, and the Steam Deck is much more comfortable to hold for longer sessions. In the end, what I think the Legion Go does better than any other handheld device is being a handheld gaming device that is also a serviceable computer. And it's because of the screen size. I want to pack one device when I travel. The ROG Ally (with its smaller screen that makes you squint to see things or doesn't show enough of a website or spreadsheet) and the Steam Deck (with its Linux operating system that may not run the types of windows-based programs that you need) just don't work as well for that purpose. When traveling with my Steam Deck, I found myself wishing I had brought my laptop. With the Legion Go, I find it's good enough for my short business trips. The 8.8" screen makes a big difference and if you think about it, it's closer to tablet size, while the other devices have screens closer to large phone size. If you're just looking for a handheld device to use at home while sitting on the couch, I'd recommend getting a ROG Ally (if you need Windows compatibility) or a Steam Deck OLED (if you're looking for a more console like experience and better battery life). But if you need a device that gives you the best combo of gaming device and Windows PC, then the Legion Go is the best option. One last thing. If you see older reviews of the Legion Go (let's say before Jan 2024), they may no longer be accurate. Lenovo has pumped out several software updates that have addressed many of the initial shortcomings (with more updates coming). Things like fan curves, dead zones, etc have been addressed fairly well since launch.

This device is a powerful handheld. The screen is great to play games and when use the Go as a tablet. The speakers are good. At least for me. The lenovo interface could be better. And its a little too heavy for my hands. I love the kickstand implementation and the use of the controllers as “joy-cons.” This device comes with a carrying case. A plus since other devices does no come with one. If you like the windows interface and you don’t mind sacrificing performance over battery life and the weight of the device compared to other is not a problem for you. This is a great powerful device. I highly recommended!

I've had this handheld for a few months and I have to say it's pretty good. I really like the screen and the 144hz refresh rate but I wish it had VRR like on the ROG Ally. I guess the lack of VRR is the price you pay to have a microSD card reader that actually works. The performance on the device is still good as well, and Lenovo is doing really well when it comes to support, with regular updates and a recent LegionSpace overhaul that makes it much more useable. My biggest gripe with the device is how absolutely obnoxiously loud the fans get. Even without maximum fan speed enabled it still gets loud. But the part that really frustrates me is that for how loud the fans are, they don't do a very good job. The device gets hot fast, and the charging port heats up to questionable temperatures. For this reason I always have max fan speed enabled because I'm scared my device will damage itself. The other major issue is the speakers. They quite frankly sound like crap. No amount of EQ tweaking can fix the objectively bad speakers. The ROG Ally's front-facing speakers sound way better. If I were to rank the speaker quality of the main three handhelds from best to worst, the order would be ROG Ally, Steam Deck, and Legion Go. All that being said it's still a good device but the issues listed above should be addressed with the next device Lenovo pushes out. If I could go back I probably would've kept my ROG Ally instead of the Legion Go. It can be found for cheaper and has a lot of advantages such as its lightweight build and the VRR screen. It really is a night and day difference.

An excellent device with some very real downsides. The device is heavy, and the speakers aren't good, but that screen is just beautiful. This device is powerful and can play games like The Outer Worlds 2 at low settings with 60fps. It runs older games amazingly, and if you plan to play a game like Hades 2, you'll get to enjoy playing with 144hz and QHD. Like any handheld PC, this is essentially a mini laptop, and if you don't like Windows, you can just install a different OS on it. If you can get this at $600 like I did, you won't regret it.

Had it for 2 months. Love it so far. I've been a console gamer my whole life so there is a learning curve switching to PC gaming but this is basically just a Windows handheld PC so I'm already familiar with the basics. I love the removable controllers. There's tons of accessories out there already for this. And its super easy to hook it to your TV with usb hub and then it's just like playing on a console. Then pop out the plug and take it with you anywhere. Probably going to get another one because my wife and I don't want to share. Only real complaint is battery life. Otherwise I would give it five stars.

I only play on my gaming laptop because I wanted portability wherever I went. When I heard about this device I didn’t know what to think. Now that I’ve had it for over a month I absolutely love it. Granted I only play plugged in since that’s what I’m used to. My girlfriend plays it not plugged in on games like solitaire and it lasts about an hour on battery. That is also because it’s still set to my high wattage for my games So far I’ve only played baldurs gate 3, borderlands 3, bioshock, the evil within 2, and elden ring. All these games run amazing on this device. Of course you have to tweak the settings a bit from the legion button on the right. I thoroughly enjoy this device. Is it on the expensive side? Definitely! But if you have the money I would definitely give this device a go! The updates just keep making this device even better! Also legion space gives out really good deals on games as well. I bought the bioshock collection from it really cheap. Again, overall I really enjoy this device. Once again, I play this 99% of the time plugged in. But it comes with a 6 foot cable so it’s doable for me. I’ve also played this on a plane. I haven’t really touched the FPS mode on the right controller since it’s not really my thing but it’s an ad on for when I do decide to try it! So for those wondering if you should get this I say yes! And if you don’t like it, Best Buy has a good return policy! I remember hearing the negatives being it’s too big and bulky, heavy, and battery life is bad. First, the controllers feel absolutely amazing to hold the device. Second, it’s not as big and bulky as you’d think (yes it’s very big btw). But the size just gives off an amazing screen. As for battery life, yea it may not be the best but all handhelds suffer from battery to some degree. You have a mini laptop in your hands. It’s definitely gonna use up battery. Regardless, that cable that comes with the GO charges your device up real fast! I’m done rambling about this decide now! Again, it’s a great device and I do recommend if you have the money!

Amazing gaming handheld. Screen is gorgeous, feels like a great fit in my hands. Games run very well on it. And it's a full blown Windows 11 PC. If you have a USB-C hub, plug it right in and use whatever other accessories you want - even external monitors. I love it. Don't forget that you can stream games from your more powerful PC's to this device. I tried it in home and it worked flawlessly with Steam. Battery life is a bit of a challenge, but you can get a battery bank to help and play while plugged in if you need to.

Excellent machine. Everything you'd want from a Windows Gaming system. It's on the heavy side, but the kickstand allows you to rest the Legion Go on a table or your chest and still comfortably grip the controls. The detachable controllers seem gimmicky at first, but FPS mode is a legitimate value addition as a portable mouse. The USB C on the top and the bottom is a thoughtful design addition. Highly recommend. Battery life isn't great but can be controlled to a reasonable level with performance tradeoffs.

Amazed by its portability and versatility. I can easily switch from work mode to game mode anywhere and at any time. Steam work great, but there are extra software Lenovo packed into the system I hardly use. Mostly use the program to map the buttons on the controllers or change rgb lights. It is a little clunky and can studer when putting it in/out of sleep mode. No this is not as seamless as the switch, but it does way more than any other handheld. This is currently my work, school, and entertainment computers. Highly recommend, although not for a hard core gamer. Frame drops on battery are noticible on graphic intensive games. Maxing out cpu at high settings will drain battery quickly too. Gorgeous screen. Pass through charging is possible but you have to tinker with it a bit.

I have a steam deck oled and went to go try Legion Go. I am very familiar with windows. Pros for legion go: very nice display even if its not OLED, the screen size is massive which i actually like. Gameplay is good too. Battery life is not great but i play most of the time with a powerbank or next to an outlet laying down. The FPS mode is pretty weird and takes a lot of time to get use to, but it works. For some reason games that i really play alot which is Diablo 4 and NBA2k runs smoother in Steamdeck despite optimizing performance in legion go, but not really noticeable. Overall, i prefer the steamdeck oled not because the Legion Go is a bad handheld. Its because of my lifestyle, i am dad which basically play on/off when i can with lots of interuptions and the option the suspend the game and resume hours or even a day or so later on the same spot is a major point for me rather than booting the whole game/system again. I tried hibernating the LG but after couple of mins, game disconnected or crash and has to restart again. Overall, i still recommend this product given how great of a gaming handheld it is, just needs to fit your lifestyle aswell.

I have a ROG ALLY (Z1 Extreme), steam deck OLED, and this (Legion Go). The Steam Deck is the easiest to just pick up and go with but is limiting in game selection and performance compared to both other (windows based) handhelds. I found the Ally to be painfully buggy and has some of the worst feeling loose joysticks I have ever had the displeasure of using. The Ally also has much worse battery life than either the deck or go. None of the 3 mentioned handhelds will give you crazy long game times but will give you enough time to scratch the itch at the very least or go slightly beyond. For what I am playing, the Legion Go outlast the others. In my comparison between these 3, I would gladly go with the Legion Go over the rest. Overall, on the device outside of its competition: This thing is large and heavy, but I don't mind that. It's just big enough to actually be usable outside of just launching games. I find myself doing normal computer tasks on this, like shopping, checking emails, or watching youtube. I genuinely enjoy my experience of removing the controllers and just using this as a windows tablet and watching a show in bed as I wind down. The screen is large enough and crisp as all heck. The power management options make the battery no issue for light streaming or browsing. Pretty neat surprise that I wasn't really expecting out of this device. I do not dock this very often, but with a dock this could be the only COMPUTER you need right now. Highly recommend this to anyone in the market for a handheld PC. This goes for any gaming handheld or even PC right now; know that you will have to tweak some setting and get good at doing so on the fly to get good results out of your use cases. All handhelds have some UI to help you here, but you need to gauge your expectations with knowing this is part of the experience.

I recently tried the Lenovo Legion Go and while there are commendable features, overall, I found it lacking in key areas. Firstly, the design feels bulky, which detracts significantly from its portability. The battery life was disappointing, not lasting as long as I would expect from a device marketed for its mobility. Additionally, the fans were surprisingly loud, even under low stress, which was a bit distracting. From a gaming perspective, which was my primary reason for choosing this device, the performance was underwhelming. Most of the games I tried either played poorly or had display issues, failing to meet my expectations for a Windows portable gaming device. On the positive side, there are aspects I appreciated. The FPS mode is a nice touch, and the detachable controllers add a degree of versatility. The screen size and quality are also impressive, providing a clear and vibrant display. However, as a portable gaming device, the Lenovo Legion Go falls short in several critical aspects. While it has potential and some appealing features, its shortcomings in portability and gaming performance are significant factors to consider.

Love this device. I can leave my gaming laptop at home when I travel. With Windows 11 I can multitask work and play in a much smaller form factor. I can connect to a monitor of TV if a larger viewing platform is required. Plays my racing and fighting games with issues. Bought an open box which save me a 150.00. Bought it mainly to game from my couch instead of my office. Would be again. Could it use a bigger battery? Yes. Does it get hot? Yes. Knew this going in so, no surprise. I am a casual gamer, so I am sure there are other out there that may not agree with me, but this fits my needs very nicely. Love the large screen.

Looking for a handheld gaming experience as I'm returning to office and will have a commute twice a week, I wanted a large-screen and having Windows as the OS. The Lenovo Legion Go checked of all the boxes. Very comfortable to hold and not too heavy when holding seated, standing, or laying down, the Go allows me to install and play games from my Steam, EA, Epic Games, GOG, and Rockstar accounts. The screen looks great and the ability to play games on the go is a huge plus. Also having a Windows based OS lets me use other products with ease. What I really like is being able to plug and use a USB-C based thumb drive to move files off and on my Legion Go. The areas of concern are sound and battery life. The default sound settings are lame but installing an EQ helped tremendously. Battery life: Is short about an hour or so unplugged while gaming. Browsing internet or watching movies, about 2 hours. I did purchase this as an Open Box Excellent category and had it shipped to me. It arrived in stupendous shape and looks and felt brand new. Only thing missing was the instructional wrapping around the hard case that comes with it. No issues, everything works as intensed. I did contact Lenovo support after registering the Go and they updated the 1-year warranty to my date of purchase so I get the full 12-month term. All I had to provide was proof of purchase (receipt) and it was updated 24 hours later. Highly recommend the Go to anyone looking to get into the handheld gaming realm.

I would recommend this to a friend
