Great gaming handheld!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was worried about getting the OG Legion Go because of all the complaints about battery life, noise and weight. First: the handheld doesn't feel heavy at all on the hands; Second: the controllers are so comfortable, also detachable which is a "game changer" on itself; Third: with the correct settings (reddit is your friend on this), I've played for two straight hours and ended up with 70% battery left; and lastly, the noise and heat is real, this doesn't bother me that much but I understand that can be a deal breaker for some. Just try it and see it fo yourself.

Amazing hardware, awkward size
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is honestly a great device. One of the best gaming experiences. Demanding titles like Elden Ring and Baldurs gate 3 ran very smoothly and the display is clear and crisp. This device is a bit bulky, so keep that in mind. If you have average sized hands, the controllers are going to feel awkward and kind of uncomfortable. You will definitely feel the weight of the device after an hour of playing.

Brilliant! I love it.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yep, this thing is great. Had this for about a week now and absolutely love the screen. Even though it's not oled, it really is the next best thing as a step down from oled. I find it comfortable to hold, and it's actually not nearly as heavy as I was expecting it to be. Having windows on it just opens the door for pretty much everything you'd like to do. You can play games through any sort of Game Launcher that you can think of and you don't have to jump through any hoops to get it to work. The performance is phenomenal. It boots up really fast and games load crazy quick as well. Gaming performance has also been great and exceeded expectations. If it is a less demanding 2D indie title, you can play at the full resolution of 1600p. For more demanding 3D games that have come out in the last few years or even older, you'll have to drop the resolution to 800p. But with integer scaling and AMD's sharpness tool, it looks fantastic. With those settings, everything plays very nicely at 60 frame rates, and I keep the system set to balanced mode which I believe tops out at 20 watts. I'll usually get a little bit over 2 hours of game play. Depending on how demanding the game is sometimes 2.5 hours, and if it's very easy to run, it'll be closer 3 hours. Cooling is excellent and I have not been bothered by the fan noise at all. Overall, I strongly recommend this device to anyone who is willing to work with a windows handheld and tweak some setiings to get if running nicely. I sold my steam deck LCD version so that I could get this guy, and I'm more than happy with it. Future buyers should definitely check out the unofficial LegionGo subreddit! Everyone there is great and very helpful for initial setup and can answer questions you should have!

Good, not great
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bit complicated to use, battery life is subpar and performance is all over the place depending on the game you play. Build quality is top notch and the display is one of the best I have ever seen in an LCD.

Legion Go
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took me a couple days to really tinker everything and get everything running. I love the screen on this machine. I would recommend if you don’t want to spend on the newer handhelds. Even thought I went for the new Xbox one I would still highly recommend this once you tinker everything update drives and all that it’s a beast. I will say the d pad is not my favorite and battery would be more like a stay home device for me.

Lets GO!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this handheld as a early birthday gift and can say I love it! It plays everything fairly well but heavier games it def struggles. The controllers are amazing but i suggest when you are gaming to disable the trackpad as it is super easy to accidently tap it which can mess you up in certain games. The fact it comes with a nice case is a huge plus in my book since the other handhelds are higher prices dont even do that

This is my first handheld of its kind so here's my pros and cons as a first time user Pros: Great screen size Graphics are good granted I'm not playing shooters Controls are nice and comfy good memory Nice stand Cons: I call it space heater, it gets hot Not comfortable to hold for long and my hands are pretty average Battery isn't great

Legion Go is the best of its kind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very great handheld that does not compromise performance with portability. Feels very great in the hands and the screen being 8 inches really does put it apart from the competition. Play it everyday.

No Disappointments Here
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You don't have to worry about any negatives you've read. I was on the fence and so glad I purchased this. This unit blows the doors off of the ROG Ally. I had a ROG Ally for about a week. It would turn on only if you held down the power while holding the volume key - and only sometimes. Other times it just wouldn't power on at all. Now, on to the Legion Go. This thing exudes quality. The kickstand and over-all build quality impress me. The giant screen is gorgeous and the colors just pop! I was wondering what case to pickup for this but to my pleasant surprise, it includes a case! A very nice zippered medium shell case. I won't need a better one. Gaming on this has been great so far and I expect it to get even better as I learn this little guy. It does come with 3 months of Xbox Game Pass and Best Buy gives you 1 month so 4 months total to check it out completely. I personally love that this is a Windows device as I can use it to play movies and not worry if my player has the right codec installed. On Windows, they all play. Browsing to my NAS or quickly banging out a design in PhotoShop is all effortless for this unit. So far the micro SD card is fine. Not hot after one battery charge cycle. The setup is typical and you should reserve about an hour to get it all downloaded so your Windows 11 is current. The weight, I don't notice it at all and I thought that I really would from the initial reviews. It's light enough to play for a couple hours with no fatigue so far. It's an exciting time for gamers for sure!

Best Windows PC Handheld to Date
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.* Amazing Display (you may have to do some software tweaking on some games to show up properly) * Steam Deck is still the comfort King in handhelds (the shape of the bottom edges of the Legion Go can "dig" into the palms of your hands if you hold too tightly.) * Speakers aren't the best (you need to go into Realtek Audio to make the equalizer setting adjustments. * Controllers feel a bit cheap and hollow when detached * Battery life is a touch better when playing demanding games * Windows 11 is Windows 11 (good and bad) * MicroSD card reader works! * Fan noise can bother some people * Cooling is very good * Easily upgradeable SSD * Button placement of start/pause is just plain stupid * Not as heavy as I imagined (Deck inside Killswitch case "feels" heavier) * FPS Mode is just too complicated and gimmicky to me * Great value (Lenovo packed it well with nice case and SSD) Overall, it's a solid gaming Windows handheld that truly immerses you with it's gorgeous 8.8" display. I am glad Lenovo seems to support this brand new device with software updates so that's a good sign and just remember that this is NOT a video game console (it's a true Windows 11 PC) that you must have some general knowledge to make it play properly.

IMO Better than a Steam Deck
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have both. Legion Go looks better with the larger screen and since its Windows i can run all my programs on it. Its fast, handle’s everything I have played so far. Battery life is ok for what it is. If you’re playing at home, I would plug it in. Speakers are ok but not great. Could be louder. But for what its worth, I still rate it a 5/5. I bought this on special for 699 normally 749 for the 1TB.

Excellent gaming console.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent gaming console, it runs most actual games at good grafics and frame rate, and its compact form make it perfect for transportation. But also it also has low battery life when playing games, and the screen its to big, even for the console it self, in some games the best thing to do is to decrease the resolution for a better performance. Totally recommend it surprised me how well it works in demanding games. And the controles are also surprisingly good.

COOL at first but then.... Eh.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At first I thought WOW! Fit and finish, typical Lenovo. Nice. Screen is nice too. But then I heard the speakers, and they left much to be desired, at least for me. Runs VERY hot. I read of SD cards failing. Fan isn't loud but it pumps out hot air. I really wanted to love it but I couldn't find the games it would make a big difference over my Samsung S8+. Battery life is dismal to say the best. Best part was dealing with Best Buy on the return. PAINLESS so happy. The got it back and my $$ back in my account the next day. Will buy here again.

Get it, you'll hate yourself until you do!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned it in one day so far and I have a very difficult time putting it down. I'm in awe. This things is an absolute mega beast. I love it and everything it has to offer. Even the gimmicky features aren't gimmicky at all. The fps mouse mode of the controller is effing genius. My only real concerns are the integrity of the controllers connected to the sides of the tablet, they appear to be metal brackets so my worry shouldn't be that much of a concern. The other is, memory. 32 should really be default memory size, it's manageable with some tricks and built in Microsoft features but I really wish it could be upgradable instead of soldered on (I obviously understand why it's soldered and why it's 16 but still). Also, I hope the next version runs with OLED and has support for HDR and VRR So far the device runs smooth at all games I've put on her and throttling seems to be at a minimum. The applications for this thing are endless, it's a mini computer but so much more than that. The built in stand alone is awesome and sturdy. 2 USB-C ports is a no brainer and this thing has delivered on every (almost every) front. Glad I bought this and not the steamdeck! -yeshman

Great product for the right person
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Lenova Legion go is a great product for people that are on the go and want to be able to play their games. In the time that I was reviewing it, I realized that unless you’re on the go a lot and really don’t have time to set up a console like an Xbox or PlayStation then it’s for you. But if you are home 80% of the time it’s not really useful. On top of the fact that even though it is a handheld device, you still have to have Internet to play your online games and have the charging cord plugged up because the performance will drop quite quickly. It’s great for off-line games but not much else. I think that goes for all handheld gaming devices. The other thing about this product specifically is that the controllers make it a pain to hold for a long period of time. The hardened edges dig into your hand the longer you’re playing and it gets a little painful.

Brilliant gaming computer that fits in my hands!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device is not for the unsavvy computer users, it took some effort to set it up for gaming and to get the best performance. Once i achieved that, i was in a different world playing all kinds of Steam games and Legion Go games, and even sent an email or two and browsed the web a few times. Bright fast and big display is pleasant on rhe eyes and the controllers are just perfectly designed to feel natural while in use! I recommend this to anyone looking for a mobile gaming computer, Lenova scored with this one!!!

Windows is horrible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battery is a real killer and the windows experience is horrible.
