Open Box & Defective
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this open box return since it was $350 off retail, $1000 is artificially inflated because of AI demand for RAM and SSD. This was obviously returned because the fan bearings were broken, you hear it literally when you turn it on. Best Buy says they checked it, but I argued with a AI chatbot on before I called, only to speak to another chatbot AI SLOP. The product itself is fine, I replaced the fan myself instead of dealing with BestBuy. It's no wonder they closed all the stores in my state, they suck.

Do not buy!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed with this handheld. If it lasted one month, that was a lot. From the beginning it had performance and overheating issues, and then it simply stopped working properly. For the price, I expected much better quality and durability. Definitely not worth spending this much money on something that fails so quickly. I would not recommend it at all

An Amazing Level of Engineering Incompetence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.SteamOS recently (December 19th) put out an update; however, in order to update your Legion Go S, you must first also update the firmware. This will fail....everytime...single...time. Lenovo failed at this firmware update because they don't understand or care to understand how Linux works. When the firmware is updating, the controllers turn off; however, with non-detachable controllers, the controller cannot be physically removed to reset it, so the device thinks it has "vanished" when it toggles modes to accept the firmware. Until this is fixed, the Legion Go S with SteamOS cannot update, cannot get new BIOS, cannot get firmware updates, and is open to a significant amount of security vulnerabilities that can occur without current updates.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give 4 stars but it's really no games really because it runs Linux and these gaming companies are beefing with steam with anti cheat blah blah blah RDR2 works at least i got mine during black Friday wouldn't pay this much paid 572 and that's still too much for a couple of games and the rest indie have to put pw in twice i think it's like a big with steamos at this point these companies are memory hogs no way any device doesn't come standard 1tb possibly 2tb just like the EU should step in

Too many bugs, not acceptable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So many bugs. I just can't imagine how is it possible a product launched 6 months ago have these many bugs. There is a groundbreaking bug, where if you open the side panel (right side one). The whole UI freezes and u can't do anything. Force shutdown is the only option

Posted .Hi Crimson-
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand the frustration of your new device being incompatible with the games that you would like to play. We strive to offer excellent user experience with our Legion Go S, and we would like to offer you some assistance to improve your satisfaction.
Firstly, to address your concerns on battery life, we recommend running and installing all available drivers updates through Legion Space, these updates are crucial to the device’s health and can adjust power regulation leading to improve battery life. To check for updates within Legion Space begin by launching the application, then click "Disks and Drivers" located at the bottom of the display, then select "Check for Updates".
The Legion Go can also adjust the active performance profile and fan speed of the device based on your needs. To start press the hexagonal options key located on the right controller, then select the performance tab represented by the rocket ship, from here you can adjust the performance mode. We recommend using Quiet Mode which will reduce fan noise and enhance battery life.
To address your concerns about combability on the Legion Go S, the Steam marketplace will mark on game titles if they are SteamOS compatible. Some games require specific launcher functionality or use anti-cheat support that may make the Legion Go S incompatible with the game until the game's developers allow handhelds like the Legion Go S to be used. We suggest check your game's compatibility on Steam to ensure that it is supported. If it is listed as a supported game, then please reach out to us through the Q & A section if you would like assistance troubleshooting this issue.
Please reach out to us through the Q & A section of this product webpage if you would like any assistance.

Posted .Hi Leor,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear you're having trouble gaming on your Legion Go S. We understand your frustration and apologize for any inconvenience. We strive to provide the best experience possible, so we'd like to work with you to address and hopefully resolve this.
To start, do you know if the Legion Go S meets the system requirements of the titles you want to play? If not, it's likely that the game can't run smoothly because this Go S doesn't have enough computing power to run it smoothly. If it does meet the requirements, what are the in-game graphics settings set to? Have you tried manipulating this? We'd like to know, as these are major factors in the gaming experience.

They are the best equipped to handle questions, concerns, and requests regarding your Legion and should be able to help you quickly resolve any issues you may have. You don't have to answer the questions we posed here, as you can share them with Legion Ultimate Support for guidance as well.
Please don't hesitate to let us know what else we can do to try to improve your experience, as your satisfaction is important to us.

Careful with Returning Items by mail
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item but it was defective. I opted to use the mail in return service offered by Best Buy. I dropped my item off and a week later Best Buy sends me back the empty box and tells me they can’t refund the item. Best Buy will do nothing to help unfortunately and I have chosen to take my business elsewhere.
