Fun, But Not As Strong As Other Lego Games
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lego Batman 3 has the gameplay and humor from past Lego games. There is a large cast of over 100 characters. After you beat the main game, you have access to these small hub worlds filled with challenges, gold bricks, races, missions, etc. These worlds don't feel like a true open world sandbox which is this game is sorely lacking compared to other games like Lego Marvel Superheroes. If you like Lego, Batman, DC, and aren't expecting a huge sandbox hub, then you will like this game.

Another Great Lego Batman Game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lego Batman 3 is a great continuation from Lego Batman 2. There are tons of characters and things to do. Like all Lego games, it does get very repetitive, but it is still worth playing through. I found that there is not as much freedom in this game compared to Lego Batman 2. There a some different environments to go to like the JLA Space Station and the Batcave, even the Hall of Doom. Each area is relatively small. There is a great tie in with Batman '66. DLC is alright. You get to play a single level from different DC titles. I was expecting more than a level, especially with the Dark Knight Trilogy pack. Still worth it though.

Great for the whole family
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After getting my Playstation 4 I was trying to find games that would be kid friendly. Enter Lego Batman 3. The controls are easy to use, the game play finds a nice balance between simple yet challenging objectives, and the characters are easily recognizable. One thing I love is that instead of a character "dying," they simply break apart into a stack of Lego pieces. This game is greatly enjoyed by my kids under 10, but fun enough for me to play in my own time as well.

Really fun
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not as good as LEGO Marvel Superheroes, but still a lot of fun. I really wish they didn't use hub planets instead of one big open city. Tons of characters. LEGO Games are really great for everyone.

Great for all ages!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A very fun Lego game for all ages, especially if you're a DC comics fan. Tons of characters to play as. There's lots of fun little side quests/games to do on the various hubs outside of the main story mode, too. My second favorite Lego game of all time!

Kids love it, despite the bugs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've purchased almost every Lego game to come to PS3 and now PS4 for the past five years or so, mostly for visiting kids, but they're typically fun for adults too, even if about the only change from one game to the next is the theme. They're also very good learning games for problem solving development, especially with all the bonus achievements they offer, which are usually far more extensive or time consuming to complete than the game itself. That said, overall, I've been disappointed in the Lego games on PS4 so far. The graphics look like PS3 graphics, but more stable, implying that even on PS3 they were probably rendered at 1080p and just poorly downconverted, introducing lots of artifacts in the process. But what's more disappointing is that the gameplay itself is less stable. Lego has always had it's issues with bugs in split-screen coop, but every PS4 Lego game we've played has had a fair share in single-player too, with Batman 3 being the worst to date. It's almost as if they're still building the games based on PS3 tech, as outside of smoother graphics, none of the games we've played so far try to take advantage of any of the things next gen can do, other than more privacy invasion, as with the new gen, even single player virtually requires an internet connection. The bugs are nothing game crippling. But parents should be prepared to be called in to get characters unstuck from areas of the game they aren't supposed to be able to access, but somehow do quite frequently, or when your PS4 blue screens, asking you to send Sony an error report, before you have to restart your game at the beginning of the level you were last on. Of the 30 to 50 PS4 games we've played, this one has so far been the buggiest by far. I would recommend, as younger kids still love the game (my 13 year old nephew has lost all interest in lego, but my 5 year old nephew can't get enough of it and my 8 year old niece likes it too, as long as she can choose her character), but I'd only recommend it with the above qualifying reservations, as ultimately, it's felt like the game developer has been resting on it's laurels with the Lego franchise for some time now. If they don't spark some sense of ambition soon, the franchise will likely dwindle, as so far, this gen, feels like we're still playing PS3.
