My son is a huge fan of Legos and we have loved all the previous Lego video games. This just adds to his fun.

The stand and portal for the legos is so much fun to put together with a kid. All the toys come off their base and are actually real lego pieces! Tons of humor and cameos in game keep it fun for adults

When I bought this game, I tempered my expectations. I knew that it would not be my favorite gaming experience of all time, but I was hopeful that it would be fun. In that regard, the game has delivered. I think most people will be satisfied, if not happy, with their purchase.

Outside of the now having to buy actual Legos to play the game, this game is what you would expect if you have played the many titles they have produced. I think the big downside here is going to be having to purchase a lot of additional Legos to collect everything in the game.

If you have played a Lego game in the last decade, you have the premise for this game. However with the addition of buildable toys and the way they are integrated into the game, it's an even more enjoyable experience. The only thing to remember is there is constant switching of where characters are located on the game pad. So if you are buying this for young kids be ready to sit in the floor and move figures as they play. It gets annoying but is an ingenious way to involve the player. My kids have nearly all of the Disney Infinity figures for that game, but this is much better in my opinion.

My son is really in to legs so we got him this for Christmas. I thought it would be something he would play on his on, but we play it more together. It incorporates good story telling with problem solving which my son can figure out(sometimes I have to help he's 6) I couldn't recommend this game more. The portal adds a cool element to the game that first generation gamers like myself can appreciate because of how far gaming has come.

Pretty cool game my son loves this thing. You can purchase characters to put on the "pad" and expand your gaming experience by entering different dimensions. Pretty cool idea

We got this for my son, who has played (and loves) all of the Lego games in existence. Funny and entertaining, combining Lego with Infinity-like interface was a smart move. Very enjoyable.

Challenging addition to his regular game playing. Each character has colorful Lego blocks that piece together well and lock together making a figure that can be played with over and over.

This item is great. My kids love the Lego dimensions portal and starter pack. They can pretty much build it on their own and they are 6 and 4 years old. Quality product

Bought this game for my son for his 6th Birthday! He had been begging for if for what seemed like forever, So we finally gave in! He absolutely LOVES the game, my only complaint would be that I don't believe the characters came with instructions on how to put them together and with SO MANY tiny pieces it was a little difficult for my son even with the help of his dad! Oh and if you didn't already know before purchasing any game pieces or figures that you buy (including the portal and everything) come in pieces and you have to build it all up, they ARE actual Legos! :)

My grandson loves this game. The thing I like is the fact I don't have to buy different starter packs (Disney Infinity). There are different levels you can buy to add on at a low cost.

I was a little skeptical going in, but while the core Lego game formula remains the same, Lego Dimensions does a fine job at reminding us all that the toys are meant to be played with.

I hated disney infinity, and so I was concerned about this. Then I started playing, and as Gandolf rode a Dalek through Gotham I realized that I had discovered the greatest game ever. Its a very well done genre mix for people of every caliber and my daughter loves playing it with me.

This game is a blast to play. The core game can be played using a starter pack, however, to play additional levels you need level. Team packs are basically two fun packs. Fun packs include a mini figure and a vehicle, but do do not include a new level. Costs seem to be wavering up and down lately, and more packs are coming soon, but you could easily spend $400ish if you wanted a complete collection for the current Dimensions set up. More packs are coming in September 2016. If you like Legos, and like games even a little, this game is a blast!
