Great game to involve the player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my son, but I skeptical about how this game would function after having a poor experience with the Disney Infinity product. I love that you get to build the lego set pieces as part of the game. We are only a little ways into the story, but the use of the characters on the portal platform is very innovative and fun. Can't wait to get deeper into the game.

Fun, but has some big glitches
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun, but it has frustrated me beyond belief, in large part due to a glitch that caused my game to be completely unplayable, with the only apparent solution (according to support so far) is to start my completed-game save over again. I cannot recommend this game knowing that this could happen to anyone, at any point in the game. This game truly is a lot of fun, with a lot of great service to the various franchises involved but man does it have some glitches, some that may break your game/save altogether forcing you to start over and can be very time-consuming to try to fix before eventually just starting over. Of course it also gets expensive if you want to access every area and do everything, but that's just the nature of the Toys to Life style of games anyway. But keep in mind the game can be very glitchy, in my case the point where I've had to start my game over twice. Here's a couple of glitches that you should be aware of: 1. If you care about the achivements/gamerscore: If the controller disconnects during a level for any length of time, you are very unlikely to receive the achievement for beating that level and have to start over, hoping the controller doesn't disconnect again. This is particularly bad if playing two player. We've replayed levels 2 or 3 times just to get the achievement, not for one specific level but for several. Other achievements will still trigger. 2. There are keystones that will appear in-game around the portal after beating some of the first few levels. I don't know what triggers it, but in some cases these won't display, and you may even lose some that have appeared. The biggest problem I had with this, is that after the levels instructions appear to update the portal. If this glitch happens to you, you won't see these instructions. This is mostly cosmetic, I understand that. But it seems like a pretty simple bug that I wouldn't expect out of a game this expensive. It shows a lack of polish, and the lack of instructions appearing shook my confidence that I wasn't missing something else that could actually be important. And the biggest one of all? 3. After starting over previously, and finally beating the game, getting all the level-completion achivements, getting many red bricks and completoing as much of several adventure worlds as I could I started up the game and a glitch with the bits bar occurred where it loaded in the middle of the screen and there was no counter for the number of bits I had received. I restarted the game once I found a spot where it wasn't saving, was taken to the usual Vorton area and now I can't do anything except maybe upgrade a vehicle or turn on/off red bricks. Anything that allows me to select a level is completely unavailable and I can't even get to the Adventure World area to select one. Here's a video showing the glitch in-game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOqQzWrDPH0 if you care at all. I've contacted Support about the Keystone issue and the broken-game glitch and the only things that they had me try was uninstall the game and reinstall in a number of different ways including removing the Gamer Profile from the console. None of these have helped yet. This can take hours thanks to a 5.5GB update if you're internet isn't particularly fast.

Fun for the Big Kids Too
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I enjoy video games as much as our kids. We picked this up and absolutely enjoyed making our portal and in game set up with other figures! Great for starters and vets of video games. Lego even announced that this game will be good for at least 3 years! Best Bang for your buck at Best Buy!

I give 4 stars for Doctor Who
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got lucky and price matched for $49. Let me say this is the first time I have played this type of game. It can get a little confusing at first but after you play a round it become easy to play. The add on pack look for deals Best Buy will price match with out any problem. It is a little more work than the other Lego game but there are more level pack coming out til 2017 so it will keep having new things to do.

Awesome Lego game
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this since the wife and I lobe all the other Lego games. Love that unlike Disney Infinity, which we also have, this you can use any character and any vehicle in any world, which makes adventures endless. Love all the different franchises you can play!

Love the Retro aspect of it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't necessarily love the Disney Infinity / Lego Dimensions type of game as I'm more used to arcade or mission driven game. But my 9 year old kid does and he's been having a blast with it, and my 7 year old girl has had a good time playing it too.
