Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the In-Wall Low-Voltage Cable Access Plate's ease of use, cable management capabilities, and clean aesthetic. Many appreciate the straightforward installation and the high-quality look and feel of the product. However, some customers found the instructions inadequate and the provided template less than helpful in achieving the correct hole size for installation. The size of the opening may present challenges depending on the cable and plug being used.

    OMG! Flimsy plastic Junk.

This product induces fits of rage. The retaining mechanism that attaches it to the wall, clips on to the assembly with little tabs. It gives no tactile indication of when it's tight to the drywall which leads to over tightening and breakage of tabs. So the very thing that holds it tight to the wall clings to the assembly by 1/8" flimsy plastic tabs that break off. Keep in mind that this is after you have cut a hole in your wall. I created a work around and was rewarded by the whole back portion falling off as I pushed a cable through. The piece that holds the white bristles in place came unclipped (more clips). Yeah, the bristles dropped in the wall too. Basically, I'm left with a hole in my wall with a decorative trim ring(no bristles). Does it work? Um... kind of, if you don't breath on it and your into disappointment.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulties installing these brush plates. If you find the included brackets difficult to use, the wall plates can also be attached using a low voltage bracket (available at any hardware store). The installation guide has also been updated recently and should be available online shortly. If you have any additional comments or questions, please reach out to us at (800) 223-4162 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. EST or E-mail:[email protected] so that we may assist.

Giving this an honest one star review because the instructions are awful. It gives you a templet to cut out the whole which is extremely to big of a hole to actually mount the kit into. We had to jimmy rig it to work. Super disappointed because it took a lot of work and damage to my wall. Also, make sure your cords are long enough because ours weren’t. So all that work and damage and we had to go out and buy audio extensions and wait to put out tv back. Next time I’ll spend the extra money to get a better kit.

Avoid. Spend a little more for a better unit.

This thing was JUNK! I used the template and followed directions and the first hole was too big! I was very careful and have done this many times before so it was not user error. Luckily I tried to mount the first unit before cutting the second hole, so I knew to make the second hole smaller than the template. The second one fit better but the tabs are lightly built and don't hold real well. Also luckily, I had a low-voltage remodel box for the hole that was too big. So at least the faceplate was useful, it did screw to the low voltage box. The other unit is under the desk so it is hidden, but it didn't fit very well either. If I have to do this again, I would probably buy these faceplates but would plan on using low voltage boxes behind it.
