Insulation and fire blocking in the way. Put wires in this chase and paint to match wall color, it dissapears, simple.

It can also be painted to "blend in" to the wall. Very happy with this purchase.

It looked ok out of the box, but we painted it the wall color and it's barely noticible.

perfect solution!

With the painting to match the walls, you honestly forget that it's there and makes hiding wires a breeze.
