It is possible setting up voice match and lowering the "okay google" sensitivity will help with this. to setup voice match please open the Google Home app Google Home app.
At the top right, tap your account.
Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your speaker or display. To switch accounts, tap another account or Add another account.
Tap Assistant settings Voice Match Add devices.
Make sure any devices you want to link your voice to are checked.
Tap Next I agree.
Follow the in-app steps.
To adjust the sensitivity of the mic please open the Google Home app .
At the bottom, tap Home .
Select your speaker or Smart Display.
At the top right, tap Device settings. ...
Choose how sensitive you want Google Assistant to be when it responds to you.

If you want something you can customize for your needs this thing appears to be locked into very specific behavior. You cannot change the layout of items on the interface. You cannot disable much, or customize much behavior. Nearly all settings are only accessible in the Hub - and there aren't many. In using the device for 2 days already had two pretty big glitches. When pressing "Send a video message" on the "Communicate" tab the device wants to perform a search and display music videos matching "Send a Message" - which is funny at first, and the annoying, and you can't remove the button or change it, so you just have this useless button. The device stopped opening my photo gallery after working fine several times. It says "Opening gallery" and then nothing happens. We bought this as a gift for a non-technical grandparent. Between an interface that cannot be curated, and a glitch that corrupted the photo gallery feature experienced within the first 2 days, we're concerned this may become more trouble than it's worth.

Plugging it back in, and allowing it to power on. If the issue remains please perform a factory reset by holding down the “Volume + and – ” buttons on top of your device for 8 Seconds. If the issue persists, please contact our customer support team at 866-426-0911 . You can report user interface errors directly to Google at any time by swiping up from the screen and selecting the box with the "!" mark in it.

Good start, needs more apps

However, it lacks support for a lot outside the Google ecosystem. It needs access to things like Hulu Live TV and Netflix, not just YouTube, or to add support for Skype on top of Google Duo. If these additional apps can be added it can become the prime home display.
