The speaker, however, isn’t quite as good. I find that I get some noise from my speaker even when the speaker isn’t playing. And I get a little bit of crackling. I still really enjoy the device and use it regularly.

The picture quality of the video from this unit is lacking going to a more high quality device. On this device incoming video is good, but if your calling someone with a higher end device, they will get poor resolution.

Posted .We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo 7 Inch Smart Display with Google Assistant. This model ships with a 7 inch SD (1024 x 600), IPS, touch compatible screen. There is a 720p (HD) webcam built in for HD quality broadcast video. If you are getting less than expected broadcast video quality, try resetting your Smart Display back to its original factory settings. To do this: With the device powered on, press down both the volume+ / volume- button for 8 seconds. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your device. If the issue with broadcast video quality continues, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Smart Devices at: 866-426-0911

Bought this for my grandma because I wasn’t sure how she would adapt to using it. She especially likes how the pictures we added to the linked google account are the screen saver.

The swipe left and right doesn’t work at all and many of the verbal commands are not working consistently.

Comes with camera for those who Duo

This Lenovo is great because it comes with a built in camera (can hide the camera lens with a sliding switch if you're concerned). The footprint is much larger than the hub but it's also designed to stand up vertically (for Duo calls). I've found the speaker to be nice and loud and it does everything it was designed to do well.
