Good display, lacking in functionality

The audio is not as good as my other wifi devices. More disappointing is that it won't display the video from my Ring video doorbell, nor from my Wyze cameras. I linked the Wyze cameras to it and when I ask it to show them to me, it says okay and then does nothing.

Posted .Hello, we are sorry to hear you had this experience with the sound on your Lenovo Smart Display 7". The Lenovo Smart Display is capable of casting audio to or grouping with any cast enabled smart speakers you may have to provide more and better audio coverage throughout your home. If you have a smart speaker you prefer you can also set the Lenovo Smart Displays default speaker to your preferred smart speaker/tv/sound bar etc.

When it is up and running it is a very cool little device. My kids love talking to the Google and being able to see the videos and whatnot on the device is nice

Posted .The Lenovo 7-Inch Smart Display with Google Assistant, ships with 5G, 1x1 WiFi 802.11 ac 2.4G/5G with MIMO technology - frequency WiFi and is backward compatible to older a/b/g/n frequency WiFi. If you are having issues staying connected to your WiFi signal, try these troubleshooting tips in order until the issue is resolved: Make sure to link the Device with the same WIFI connection as the mobile device.
Please check whether WIFI works correctly by using another device to link with the same WIFI.
• Please try to reboot the Device. • Unplug your Smart Display for 1 minute. • Plug your Smart Display back in. • Then check the WiFi again. Please reset the Device (Long press VOL+ and VOL- 8 Seconds). Please find your router’s manufacturer and model. • Check with the manufacturer to find out if your router model has Smart Connect. • If your router has Smart Connect, check with the manufacturer for steps on how to turn off Smart Connect.
• Then try it again. If the issue still continues, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support for Smart Devices at: 866-426-0911.

a) Take the Lenovo Smart Display out of the box and plug in the power adapter on the back side.
b) Download the “Google Home” app on your phone/tablet and sign in on your Google account.
c) The app will show you a new Lenovo Smart Display is nearby. Click to set it up.
d) Follow the instructions inside the application until the setup is completed.
Then you can start your conversation with “Hey Google”. The average set up time will take approximately 5 to 8 minutes.
